Question Flat + Incline Chest work on same day or Seperate Flat and Incline Days?

    Hi guys,

I work chest once a week and was wondering what would be better to do (please note this isn't my entire workout just what I have that directly target the chest):

    Week One:
    Flat Bench + Incline Flys

    Week Two:
    Incline Bench + Flat Flys

Week Three - Back to week one and repeat...

    OR

    Week One:
    Flat Bench + Flat Flys

    Week Two:
    Incline Bench + Incline Flys

Week Three - Back to week one and repeat...

So essentially is it better to mix some incline and flat chest work on the same day or is it better to keep them for separate days?

    Thanks.

do flat and incline bench same day add some flat flies.
I dont really think flies add much size to your chest.

If it were me, I'd do Incline and Flat bench in the same setting. Add flies in at the end if you wish, but another incline press wouldn't hurt.

Since you're working chest once a week, I would do a flat, incline and fly variation all within the same workout. Every so often you can switch exercise order between flat and incline, should you need to prioritize, get bored, etc.
Who was this love of yours?

Thanks for the replies guys. It seems everyone is voting for doing both Incline and Flat bench on the same day + some added fly movement.

I am currently doing 3 sets of bench. So should I move to doing 3 sets each of Flat and Incline? Or would maybe 2 Flat followed by 2 Incline be a better choice?

It honestly won't make much difference in the grand scheme of things.

Having said that I'd do flat & incline in the same workout but there is no reason behind this apart from personal preference.

Can do it same day in supersets but don't make it a habit like doing it for months!! Change..
Let me give you a bit of warning: just because you get very good at your training it should not go to your head that you are an expert.
