Guys, we are giving out samples on a hand-picked basis, but...one of the reasons we introduced the sample tubs is so people could get more than one workout, to guage both taste AND effects over more than one workout, while keeping the cost of entry low. So...this is kinda the wrong thread to hit up for samples.

I suppose it doesn't, but I just really started posting around here, I've only posted in 35-36 threads so most of those aren't just apps. But regardless, I'm not sure that warrants you being a d***e either man. How I choose to spend my time is my call, but I find no harm in being excited at the chance to log or review products since I've never had the opportunity, you know? Just saying.

His post was spot-on.
Think about it from the perspective of the company representatives. Would you offer up free products to someone who has provided zero evidence that they would make it worthwhile to do so (e.g. solid reviews/logs/feedback/contributions on the forums) or one of the tons of members who really invest time doing just that?
If you want to better your chance of getting such opportunities, I'd suggest ditching the hypersensitivity and start contributing.Staples:

You have to post in threads that offer the opportunity to log in order to potentially win products which one can log (not a very concept I would think), I understand your point but I hardly call my reaction hypersensitive. If he took issue with my post (keep in mind I wasn't asking for a whole tub or anything I was asking for a sample, which companies do often offer) he should have pm'd me instead of painting me in a promo whore-ish light. I have no problem and plan on posting reviews I just haven't gotten the opportunity (I currently don't have any supplement products of my own which to review - just whole food for the time being). I am receiving samples soon which I will review as I promised the reps who are sending them I would. But until that time I see no harm in trying to win promos, whether or not I win the promos is up to reps (and it's not like I'm b****ing out reps for not giving me products or not lamenting why I'm not winning promos I fully understand that reps are more likely to award to proven testers but it doesn't mean I can't try) but I don't appreciate you or him (who aren't reps) making any sort of judgement call on my two-week posting history which no reps have even brought up.
TL;DR- I know that, but it doesn't mean I can't post in promo threads and try to win product for the chance to log (I don't think I'm likely to win I'm just doing it for fun). His sanctimonious post was uncalled for. By the way B4L- I would love to do reviews but until my samples arrive I can't unless you want me to review ground beef and rice. I didn't complain to poison saying "no fair, give me teh productz =(" I said that I understood and I understand until I get the opportunity to post reviews and such, reps aren't as likely to pick me.
TLTL;DR- I agree, but I don't think I'm going to win I'm doing it for fun. I wasn't complaining about not winning products. And I plan on posting reviews when I get the samples that are in transit to me. His post made me seem like a promo whore which I'm not.
^ I'm not upset, just don't like people portraying me in a way I'm not about something I'm not doing, when I'm just posting having fun.

This is not a thread offering opportunities to log and/or review (not a very tough concept I would think).
That is subjective.
Your post history painted that well before his post. He just summed it up nicely.
You could always buy them and review them as that in itself can go a long way towards getting future opportunities.
That should help.
Once again, this isn't a promo thread in the sense that free products are being offered. In fact, it's the exact opposite. This thread is giving folks like you a heads up that you can try the product with less out of pocket expense than buying a full tub. Also, the latter part of that statement supports the hypersensitive comment.
For the third time, You can't WIN in this thread and, for the second time, you can use your own money to buy products and review them. The ultimate goal of a company is to have someone actually buy their products. Showing your willingness to do so, as stated above, will increase your chances of getting to try before you potentially buy going forward.
See above.
Now, I'm pumped and off to the gym thanks to a combination of products I've purchased (crazy, right?) and products I've won through company promotions (cwutididthere?).
I said good day!Staples:

I bought the trial siize on Tuesday from BB.com and got in on Wednesday (impressive.) I took 1 scoop on Friday and wasn't impressed. I was kind of off before working out so I chalked it up to that. This morning I put 1 1/2 scoops in a bottle and went off to the gym. I drank about 2/3 of the bottle before working out and was feeling pretty good and very focused. About a half hour into my workout I drank the rest and had a GREAT one hour workout. I didn't really try to add any extra weight or anything but didn't have any trouble at all lifting my normal weight. It was the first time in a long time that when done with my hour I was thinking I could easily do another 30 minutes if I didn't have to get to work. I came into work and did a few more sets with the weights I have here. I look forward to Monday's workout.
