Routine for gaining most strength while cutting

So to make a long story short, I was a pretty active lifting back in high school when I was training for football. My best lifts then at 17yo were:
    Squat 375x5
    Deadlift 465x5
    Bench 275x1

Then a couple injuries led to less than consistent lifting over the past 2 years

So right now my main goal is to drop about 10 pounds from 180 to 170, while also increasing my strength as much as possible in preparation for a club football team im joining this spring.

So my question to you guys, what routine would you recommend to go about this? Ive had success in the past with Bill Stars 5x5 and 5/3/1 as well as some modified rippetoe's routines.
"Every great achievement was once considered impossible."

    -----Best lifts-----
    Squat: 395x1
    Bench: 275x1
    Deadlift: 430x6
    ------------------

If they have worked for you in the past I would say try them again in the future, there is no reason to believe that they wont work again.....

also just because someone recommends a routine on an internet forum that worked for them doesnt mean it will work for you, like i said if those routines worked in the past I would go to them again, run a cycle of the Bill starr see how it feels and go from there would be my recoomendation
Train for Strength, Eat For Size, Rest for Recovery, Repeat for Results

Except when those routines worked for me I was eating 3000+ calories. I have nothing against doing them again, but from everything ive read about them theyre designed to be run with a caloric excess due to the progressive loading scheme and high intensity lifts

I completely understand this. Ive been lifting for the past 6-7 years, so I know just jumping into some random routine just cause it worked for some random person is the worse thing you can do. Whatever routine I end up doing ill be sure to spend weeks researching every aspect of it

I was just looking for example routines that other people have ran while cutting and had success - from there ill do my own research.
