My mother in law bought me the hampton triceps/trap bar for like 130 used at 2nd wind fitness, looking at those prices seems like she got ripped off. Anyway the bar is pretty awesome. I do skull crushers and overhead triceps extensions with it and it really keeps your elbows more inward than a curl bar. I like the urethane grips and I think the bar goes underneath the grips.

Plates are 50˘ per pound, bars are $25, benches are $40, power racks are $200, cars are $5000, houses are $100,000, & clothes are 25˘.
After many emails they refunded the credit card payment. The sales people seem to think that you'll enjoy listening to their BS.

I just ordered the 99 dollar seven foot hampton bar from rockbottomfitness yesterday. I have been going to the site everyday to see if any have come in stock and they finally had some. That sucks you had problems with them morebarbell but i have ordered many things from their golf website and never had any problems. We will see.
I have had a previous experience with RockBottomFitness. Last year I purchased a Hoist piece from them for $1500 shipped. After it was delivered I realized that they advertised one piece and delivered a very old discontinued model that was approximately 7-8 years out of production. To make a long story short, it took multiple unanswered calls and more than a few dozen emails back and forth before I finally threatened with filing a complaint with the Attny General's consumer fraud division in Virginia. After that, they responded by repeatedly sending a Fed Ex driver to pick up the 700lb piece. After approximately one month of more emails they finally sent a truck with a liftgate. In the end it took a few months, from the date of order, to receive my refund. To further highlite their way of doing business, I ordered one pair of rubber hex dumbbells along with the initial order. They sent a pair of cheap metal hex dummbells. In the end I was not refunded for that purchase.
Here are two examples of the negative feedback from Amazon
"it was supposed to be a left handed iron and it was right handed"
"I ordered a size 8, since my shoe size is 7 1/2. When the shoes arrived, I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe. If it was a size 8, then it was a child's 8. When I reviewed the return policy, boy did I get screwed! I not only had to pay $15 for return shipping, but they also are charging me a 15% restock fee!! Am still waiting for my refund! I will never shop from them again....."

Thats rough. They said it would be here between 7 and 14 business days. I bought it yesterday and I already got an email saying it will be here saturday. I guess we will see what happens.
I'm hoping that this thread dies. I don't want it to be free advertising for the website. As I said previously, I'd close the thread if I knew how.
They cancelled my order for the set of 9 bars during their sale even though they charged my credit card and then offered to sell the set to me at full price without discount.
Just let the thread die. There's really no reason for it to get bumped up again unless you have a $pecial interest in the company. If you get your order, that doesn't help those that didn't get theirs or had to deal with them on a problem or had to pay return shipping and a 15% restocking fee. I see no reason to promote this company.

I think the Hampton bar would be deal. I've seen it as high as $269. I just deleted a post I made about as I saw this post. Sorry you had a bad experience with them. Not every business is going to be 100% at satisfying everyone. They tend to drop ship heavy items or buy closeouts deals which may explain any delays or items not 100% matching description. If you look around golf forums, RBG seems to have overall good rep with the occasionally disgruntled customer.

I don't think this thread helps them at all. It shows how they have treated customers poorly and will make people think twice about buying from them. I am sure rockbottomfitness would love to have this thread closed.

LOL.
Maybe she'll give Bave his money back on those dumbbells.
Jamie, Does anyone ever answer your phones?

Ive had good experiences with them... They are notorious for having some killer deals... You get what you pay for, and in this case, thats a great product at a cheap price. I buy tons of **** online and liquidators are notorious for having poor customer service. They cant sell **** ubercheap and have the best staff in the world. I give them props for finding the thread an apologizing. Overall, they are good to deal with. I think I may buy a second bar here.
Update:
I pulled the trigger, but, I bought it through Amazon @ rockbottomgolf... get free 3-5 day shipping instead of 7-14... one left in stock.

if anything has surprised me so far in my work, it's the complete disassociation between IQ and "exercise intelligence"
Thanks OP for negging me just cuz I have not been screwed by the company. Real good use of the reputation system. Last time I purchased from them I got a bunch of compression shirts for $7 each and the transaction went fine. Hopefully this goes well for me and hopefully they resolve your issue. A quick call to visa or whatever your credit card holder is would have refuted the charges and looked pretty bad on the company's behalf. I've refused plenty of charges on my cards over the years. Its a good threat to get your way when places are dragging their feet. Somehow I get the feeling that you're impatient and don't deal well with CSRs and they treated you poorly because you treated them poorly. Just like you temperamentally treated me poorly. See "golden rule". Go ahead and neg this too.

That is pretty crappy that you got negged Astronomical. I just got my hampton bar early this morning and it is a really nice looking bar. I can't believe they said 7 to 14 business days for it to be here and it only took 3 days. Pretty sweet.
I got my whole order in about three days. Some clothes (good deals on Adidas and Reebok sweats) and some Hampton bars. I got the 7" bar, curl bar (replacing my Gold's), and tri-trap bar. They are all really nice and worth more then what I paid. I'm impressed with them. Also, there's usually at least a 5% code floating out there so be sure to look for codes before ordering and save 5%. If you use a rewards site eBates you can get more back as well.
