I've spent an hour cycling in this rain.
I mean, I'm not complaining. Lawn's gonna be green, and at least the city isn't burning down like usual.
It's just that I see the rain go down, and I leave on the bicycle to go somewhere, and as soon as I leave, it starts pouring crazy again. Like wtf?!Gym lifts: 260/130/285

7/30/14- Mix
Warm Up
Foam Roll- low back, quads, hams, glutes
Air Squats 2x10
Ankle Mobility
Hip Stretches
Row x 5min
Ham stretch
Quad stretch
Circuit
5 Rounds, 20 minutes
3 Front Squats @ 95, 105, 115, 125, 135
6 Kipping Pull Ups (singles)
100 ft reverse sled pull @ 135lbs (facing the sled, walking backward)
Agility
Ladder
10 drills
2 ladders/drill
Notes
-Tore my fuking callus on the first pull up, bled all over the place, kept going.
-Psoas tightened up on front squats, became almost debilitating.
-Had to rest/stretch in between ladder stuff. Almost didn't finish but I'm stubborn and learning to work through the pain. Maybe not the wisest decision of my life.
-Between hands and psoas I'm a mess. Ibuprofen and ice are in my future, and maybe rest tomorrow. Which blows because the workout itself wasn't even that bad.
Edit- Pics
And no, I don't wear my ring when I lift

You might want to start adopting a hand routine Those calluses should be shaved down every week, and an intensive moisturizer applied every day. And these for when you do pull-ups: http://www.wodshop.com/just-another-...-1-pair-green/. Apart from my knee sleeves, those grips are the single best thing I've ever purchased for myself. They move with your hand on the bar and don't bunch up like traditional grips or tape. And you can use them even for barbell work when your hands are sore from a tough day on the bar. You can thank me later I haven't had a tear in well over a year, but I baby the s**t out of my hands. The reason you tear is b/c the thick skin gets smashed between your hand and the bar and has no other option but to tear. Remove the thick skin and you remove the problem. I shave my hands every Saturday night.

I'll need to start doing this. I tore 1 big callus last week, and one this week. If I didn't need to throw it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I need to use my hands, dammit! So you shave your hands with a normal razor? Anything special? Do you soak in warm water first to soften them? Intensive moisturizer.... I wash my hands about 100 times a day, so that's going to be tough!

-Wasn't moving too quickly today, but this was a long workout and my muscle endurance was pretty good. Just kept going. Felt good to have the energy to do that!
-Hands hurt still, got some gloves to protect them a little
-Speed press was easy and fast, I attribute that to doing so many banded speed presses___________________________________________________________

Like, flying? No. Booty and shoulders firmly planted on the bench.
oooh, enticing!!! I know the ped-egg thingy. I should probably do something about the existing calluses while waiting for these torn ones to heal. Tried gripping the pull up bar last night just to dead hang for a stretch, my hands told me to fuk off!

Notes
-This workout doesn't look like much, but holy fuk it was the hardest I've done in a looong time.
-Pulling coach across the gym was absolutely brutal. He put the green band around my waist and had the other end behind me, pulling as hard as he could against me. I tried to run across the gym and back while he did this, but it was more like a horse pulling a 10-ton cart and moving his legs like a damn cartoon while going nowhere. I sh!t you not. So hard.
-Proud of myself for the Atlas Stone___________________________________________________________

Omg, ouch at the callous tear bubs!!!
I was at a crossfit competition (Just mirin) and they had a booth set up for this product called RIPT that was specifically for your hands. http://www.roguefitness.com/ript-skin-systems
Sh*ts supposed to work. I just scrape mine off in the shower and oil myself multiple times a day with coconut oil personally. Seems to work so far. I have to be careful about keeping softish hands or hubby won't let me touch his dick.Last edited by Fawnl; 08-04-2014 at 06:09 AM.

The big one is like the size of a beach ball, but it's made of concrete!
Ooh, thanks Fawn I'll check it out! I'm just bad about putting oil/lotion on so many times a day. I wash my hands so much I feel like it's a waste until I get home from work. I did some serious peeling yesterday and got a lot pulled off, but they're still just a touch ouchey!
Thanks Boom!___________________________________________________________
