Look at the stigma pit bulls carry with them, and the REASON many people get them, because of the "tough, macho dog" stereotype. You can't say that's why many people get them, and that's wrong on many levels, also notice how they report the breed as "pit-bull type" there are various other dogs that look like pit bulls that are in fact, other breeds, eg. dogo argentinos, am staffs, bull terriers, american bulldogs etc.
Pit bulls aren't even bred to aggressive towards humans, they make terrible guard dogs.

none of what you're saying has any evidence backing it, while pit bull attack statistics easily backs how aggressive they are towards humans. trying to blame it on a fantasy land where pit bulls are just innocent beauties being used as a slave race by thugs is ridiculousLifts:

None of what you're saying is backing any of YOUR arguments. You source the number of Pitbull attacks but you don't bother to provide the environment they were raised in. I can easily say black people are the worst of all races by nature (no racist) because they make up the majority population in US prisons. Would you believe that?

Here's a pic of my purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Her name's Bella.
She has never bit any person except my mother once when she was a puppy and she never bit anyone again.
She has gotten loose before but usually we caught her fairly quickly. A year ago, she got away and got into my neighbours yard and "attacked" there dog.(The same dog that always got loose and was in my yard getting my dog worked up from the window.) By the time i got up there the other dog was nowhere to be found but the kids that were there were hitting her with hockey sticks and chit.
Turns out the dog only got one of his back leg muscle tore open, he still could walk around normal, and we just had to pay for the work to be done.
I know for damn sure that she could of killed that little dog if she wanted too. Seen what she can do to a teddy bear in a couple minutes or my shoes.... Dat der lockjaw is a bitch to get the dog to let go. There was no bites mark on the dog either so i think she was more or less trying to "play" cause she plays really ruff.**Proud to be a manlet crew**

Yeah lets ban Pitbulls, but keep these dogs legal.
All these dogs have far more human aggression than any Pitbull has. You don't see them attacking people because the owners aren't thug *******s from the hood, thinking their nuts grow bigger because of their dogs. The owners are serious about their dogs and take good care and train them.
I volunteered at an animal shelter and Pitbulls are basically in every other holding cell. The amount of backyard breeders is ridiculous, people simply buy a pitbull puppy for Christmas and then drop them off in February. These dogs need to find their way to owners that understand how to keep a dog rather than lock it up in the backyard.
(Yes, I am a mad pitbull owner. People who let their dogs attack people should be put down first).Crews are for tools Crew*

lol your evidence sucked! 11 of 18 deaths in 2012 done by "pit bulls or pit type" ... do you realise how vague that is? pit type could easily be a mutt, boxer or american bulldog mix and even if it is a pibull which are we referring to? Staffordshire bull terrier? American Staffordshire bull terrier? American Pitbull Terrier?

Wow, amazed at the amount of ignorance in this thread.
Everyone on the misc claims to be a wolf and not a "brainwashed" sheep by the "liberal media". Yet, most are. Pitbulls are
1) not naturally aggressive
2) targeted by the media due to looks rather than statistical evidence and data
3) use to be called "nanny dogs" because of how well they respond to children and people
Just ashmed at some of you guys. When chows and toy dogs kill infants, no one cares. When a pitbull bites a lady it is the end of the world and they need to be banned.

Fukking riddle me this, Batman. If you're saying that pit bulls are being raised by thugs that want aggressive dogs, then does it not make sense that, over the past few decades, more pit bulls are being bred with higher rates of aggression as a by-product?Lifts:

Lol at pitbull owners saying "If we ban pitbulls this this and this breed should be banned too." Fact is we dont hear about any of those other dogs attacking people nearly as much as pitbulls. Im not condoning banning them but it's idiotic to say another dog should be banned when it clearly isnt as violent as the pitbull.

more pitbulls are definitely being bred, they are becoming one of the most popular types of dogs in North America, go look at the shelters, most or pit or pit-mix. There is definitely more awareness on dog fighting now though, so there must be less game-bred dogs being born now.
EVEN those dogs shouldn`t be human aggressive though.*** Misc Cigar Crew ***

THeir purpose in life is to live and reproduce and keep their species going, just like every other living thing on this planet. Your purspose isnt to be an ignorant *******. its, unfortunately, to reproduce so that our species doesnt die off.
also, how is a pitbull not being in the owners house "forcing it on other people"? people take their dogs for walks because its what you do with your dog to keep it healthy.
and strong rep beg.
