its not the fact that they cant quit that makes them weak ass b*tches, its the fact that they started.
why does anyone start smoking other then because they think its cool and/or peer pressure? WEAK MINDEDCarb Mal-absorption, no breads, sugary snacks, rice, pasta...live off of 30-40g a day.

i find it more strange when people start smoking post highschool. i can understand why kids would do it due to peer pressure and ignorance, but i dont get how adults can start something that they know is just dangerous and pointless.

No...not in my case any way.
I've thought about quitting and tried to a few times but then I realized that I enjoy it too much.
The smell of a newly opened pack.
The first cig of the day.
Talking to friends while having a smoke...this is even more enjoyable after a drink.
Getting whole cartons and packs from friends traveling overseas and trying new flavors.
Yes there are downsides. If you're cold outside smoking, wear warmer clothes. Worried about cancer? load yourself with several types of anti-oxidants and do cardio regularly. Nicotine stains on your fingers and teeth? wash your fcking hands and brush 3 times a day.
Edit: The personal benefits of smoking for me, far outweigh the consequence I will pay. I'm trying to offset it by keeping other aspects of my life in check. Moderating it is also a good measure, smoking for pleasure, rather than habit, helps keep its novelty.Last edited by TypeZero; 01-11-2013 at 04:38 PM.

he served, but not for the U.S. sorry brah :/
he's tried several times to quit smoking cold turkey, but it always gets the best of him. he's been smoking for almost 25 years now, so his addiction to cigarettes is absurdly high and he's well aware of the dangers. i think the fact that he hasn't experienced any symptoms of that poison is whats keeping him from truly being able to quit

I've smoked during 4 or 5 different intervals in my life.. most times for 2 yrs or so.
Everytime I've wanted to quit, have been able to do so cold turkey. Just don't give in to what your mind tells you that you want. Simple as that.
It still tastes good when I'm drunk and I'll have a couple puffs.. it'll always be like that. But I have willpower and a strong mind, so never have to worry about becoming "addicted" again. Same goes for drugs, admittedly..

I usually like having a cig after a few beers at a bar....like 1-2 tops. I can and have easily turned it down, but I get a great sensation...and I've linked smoking to good times of conversations outside at a bar, nightclub, with friends etc. even tho I don't need it. But staying away from those situations has helped. I've said this in many threads about not being tempted by removing the temptation....you can have junk food in your house and not eat it but it's easier if it's not in the house all together. This is with every tempting thing I do, during school I delete starcraft II cuz I'll prefer to play it nonstop even though I don't need to and have the option of not doing it. It's all about making good habits. so weak minded? probably....but I think we as humans can easily get addicted to things, even jacking off when you aren't even horny...just constantly stroking....wait what?

Not sure why something that doesn't affect you, is making you so belligerent.
I and everyone else who read it was well aware that it's not a fool-proof measure to prevent cancer. It still off-sets the full effects of the carcinogens from smoke inhalation.
and yes having an ample amount of anti-oxidants and regular cardio does decrease your chances of developing many types of cancer. Not sure why I have to state that since it's a fact.
Chill out kid. Have a smoke. The Jerk store called, they're running out of you!
