So I have been lifting for about a year now I weight 145 lbs I'm 5"11 and I noticed some small muscle gain. Here's my question I have some stubborn belly fat I want to get ripped and have my abs showing so I was think about eating less calories and still do my weight training. If I do this will I loose my muscle I don't have to much fat because I'm only 145 but I do have fat at my belly I want to get rid of. Can I loose weight without loosing muscle?

I wouldn't lose weight at your height, you need to increase your lifts. Is your bench press over 275? Dumbbell shoulders over 75's? You just need to hit the weights harder and heavier, and you will start blowing away the fat.

When in doubt bulk.
Cutting will be easier when you have added a lot more muscle mass to burn energy for you. And you will be happier with your cut physique then. Its a marathon, not a sprint. My starting strength, etc. log:, currently cutting on TM: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=143963661

Cut or bulk
Bulk.
You don't have enough muscle to show, compared to active normal males who don't even lift.
If you cut, you'll look like Ghandi.
Anyone can gain 50, 100, 200lbs. Just overeat for years and don't train at all. the gains will be mostly fat. Your doctor will become alarmed.
To gain 10, 20, or 40lbs of muscle, you'll have to get VASTLY stronger for reps for big exercises for enough reps. And you'll have to lose any fear of eating enough, including healthy fats in dairy, eggs, meat(that'll help you make enough test).
I suggest All Pro's Simple Beginner Routine for at least the next YEAR(10 cycles), and enough protein and calories to grow muscle. Your mother will hardly recognize you after that.Beginners:

Beyond novice, 5 3 1 or see above:)
Unless it is obvious to anyone who isn't blind that you lift weights, you might still benefit from a little more attention to big basic barbell exercises for enough reps:).
