How do I get on a college football team?

This fall will be my senior year, and I may or may not be playing football. In my Junior year I was a starter on varsity and things were looking good until I had a somewhat serious back injury. After 2 games I was done for the year. I went through physical therapy and everything seemed good until I started weight lifting again. Now my back is starting to hurt again and I might have to go through physical therapy again. I've never had a serious injury before this so it's frustrating. Obviously I have about 6 months until camps start so I could be good to go, but if I'm not I still want to play college ball.

Obviously I wouldn't expect a scholarship, but I was thinking of going to a community college for 2 years and maybe transferring to a bigger college. How does that process go? Would I still be eligible for an NCAA team?

Yes u still would. According to NCAA if u transfer form a 2 year to a year you can play without missing out any time whereas if u transfer from a 4 year to a 4 year you woild have to sit out a season

I'm doing a Postgraduate Year at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and its so far been the best decision I've made in my life. I was recruited much more than I was at my old high school, and the extra year helped my improve my test scores and grades as well. It's essentially repeating your senior year of high school. I strongly suggest you look into prep schools that have a PG program and consider taking a year to do that, lots of kids who are injured their senior year do one.

Good news is some coaches like junior college transfers better cuz they get some hungrier athletes in the process

Yes, and Chevelle covered that pretty well. But don't doubt yourself, I had off the field issues my jr. year and came back senior year for a 1000+ yard receiving season and had colleges/university's offer me scholarships. Promote yourself as well, Send out film and email coaches from schools you are intrested in.

My senior highlights from last year -
