What are some good supplements for fat loss? I know I should control my diet much better than I do and step up my lifting, however, I am just starting to get back into working out and would like to see a big quick drop in weight to keep me motivated and keep me going back to the gym and watching my diet.

Why use supplements? Just add some extra cardio and cut your calories....Don't try to take shortcuts but work on a permanet change in your habits.

Fat loss is not just about cutting calories, or short term supplements. It´s about changing habbits, not just counting calories. Eat well. Learn what to eat, how and when. It takes time but it definitely helps in the long term. I started a nutrition log for myself, and helped in both losing weight and learn what to eat.
An excellent supplement you could add is CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid). It´s a natural and helps you losing fat and building leaner mass. Give it a try.
And remember, it´s the long run that matters.
Hope it helps. It will hurt and it will take time. It will also require sacrifice, dedication. But it will be worth it!

Probably, many new studies are showing that it could not be as effective as they said. Though Mayo Clinic stands it´s "Probably effective", but needs more studies (since I don´t have 50+ posts yet, I couldn´t send the link).
Anyway, as I said before, it is a long run that requires good habits, consistency and hard work.It will hurt and it will take time. It will also require sacrifice, dedication. But it will be worth it!

Hey there!
I just wanted to chime in because I had a crazy transformation in a very short time--just 3.5 months. But let me tell you this--there were NO shortcuts involved. I did it solely through diet and exercise....in other words, I busted my ASS to get where I am.
Weight loss is mental first, physical second. If you want to drop weight in a healthy and LASTING way, you HAVE to change your mindset. Period. There are no free lunches in life--you get what you give. You can drop weight FAST and healthfully--if you are willing to work for it. But if you want a fast fix, your weight loss will leave as fast as it came. Thought precedes action, so unless you change your thinking, you will gain the weight back.
My advice: work on your mental attitude FIRST. How bad do you want this? If you don't want it bad enough to work out/watch your diet nearly every day for the rest of your life, then perhaps it's time to admit that. And seriously, everyone on this website who looks amazing has had to WORK for it. No one took a magic pill and woke up slim and ripped. That will never happen.Last edited by CelesteD; 01-18-2013 at 08:23 AM.

yeah im sure a lot of the fat loss pills just give you tons of caffeine and flush out all the nutrients in ur body so ur body wont receive it and it will consume fat, but that would just screw you up even more. you cant get crazy results that quick, but with hard cardio, proper lifting, and strict dieting you could lean out fast in 3 months
