What was life like in the 90s before the internet (17 yr old brah here) (srs)

17 year old brah here, i've only known life with the internet, i've had a computer in my house for as long as i can remember, when I was 8 my first system was the ps2, so i dont really know what its like to be a 90s kid. I don't know any of the good shows or anything heh.

what did you guys do for fun back then? what was the party scene like.. i could imagine house parties used a weird variety of songs back in the 90s compared to now which is all hip hop / poppy stuff you hear on the charts.

it was awesome. played outside with friends all the time. I live in a area with a lot of town house complexs and had a good old time.

Actually walked/biked over to friends to see if they are home, used a phone with a cord, music - parties usually were one type of music, lot like today.

First computer was 33mhz, 2mb of RAM and was great for it's time. Games were on floppy disk.

We're 4 years apart and I can remember the Nintendo being the shizznit back in the day. I can even remember having to use a typewriter to write a rapport for school. No internet until year 8 or 9, then everything went up because the internet used to be a cool place, but now it's more like a curse. I can imagine the world being much further if the internet wasn't used for stupid stuff like ********, old school Kazaa and Twitter.

summertime was the best.. brb getting out of bed, grabbing a popsicle from the fridge, and riding my bike through my entire neighborhood stopping by all my friends houses to get them to come out. just imagine a group of 10-15 kids cruising around on bikes and doing dumb sht

it was so much easier to meet people, because people werent all self-conscious *******s like they are now (due to people putting their lives everywhere because of social media). everyone was down to have a good time


even when the internet first came out, kids pretty much only used it to go on wrestling sites.

brb meeting people IRL and having to get their home phone number because few people had cell phones.

No, just worse. Best thing you can do is be the change you want to see happen. Smile at people. Make eye contact. Don't be a hermit. Be friendly. Don't be scared to speak to strangers.

I remember always biking to my friend's building complex (completely unplanned, no communication other than house phones), he lived on the first floor and all I had to do was yell out his name and he'd be at the window in less than three seconds yelling 'ill be right out'

Im not even old but I remember when I was younger I used to play down the park on my own and meet up with kids from school, used to be packed, had water pistol fights, played football and other stuff......now the park is empty and I only ever see it being used when parents are there with the kids, fuaaark things change so fast.
