Last time I bulked I was focused on olympic lifting (primary) and strength training (secondary) and went from 135 to 162 and cut down to 145 for summer. I wasn't thrilled with the results.
I'm at 155 now and want to see if I can't beat my old record by 20 pounds. I'll see how I look around 180 or so. My goal is to gain about 1 lb per week and just keep tracking my workouts. Make sure my lifts are going up. Screw 6 packs! I want to smash all my previous PRs.

Lol, must spread rapes
I know what you're saying about the wheel spinning Illi, my last bulk I added so much fat and kept myself convinced that it was mostly muscle. I was full sure I only needed to lose around 15-20 lbs to be cut, turned out to be nearer 30. My lifts definitely went up however.
Another mistake I made in terms of bodybuilding was sticking to 'Strong lifts' for too long; sure I got a lot stronger in all my big lifts, but I neglected accessory exercised as my workouts took so long (warming up for squats properly, long rest intervals etc.)
My new philosophy is much more like the bro I was a year or so ago - maximum muscle and minimum fat gain. Just eat to repair, and gain slowly, fukk dreamer bulking.

Because I've learned from the past, my philosophy is to change your daily lifestyle as little as possible - don't make your workouts longer or shorter, don't cut out cardio if you're already doing it and don't add a ton of food. Make small changes and stay consistent and make changes when you plateau.
For me also in the future it will to not gain strength so aggressively, would like to get as many gains as possible out of a lower weight.www.xccellence.com
