I've been only tracking for 2
Days and I'm already "over" it. I gotta keep it up, though. I mean, I know I can lose by just eating LESS; I've done it before successfully, plenty of times.
But here's the thing: I know I have no chance of winning. To me, it's about following through. Doing everything I said I was gonna do the entire 12 weeks.Sheriff John Brown always hated me

What kind of a split are you running? I love the powerblocks, I had a pair once upon a time (never used them of course), but my ex-wife THREW THEM OUT. C'est la vie.
I was wondering why your calories where so high... didn't realize you were 6'6"" .
Macro's look tight... I am surprised you can do all that running on so little. I figure you are aiming for what, a half pound a week?
Great pace. Even if you were to adjust calories, you wouldn't need them much lower for about a month.
You should... you definitely should. I know you were having some health issues (back?). Are you able to train full speed ahead now?
Welcome!!! Are you registering tomorrow as well?
F*CK YEAH!!!

Here is my simple work out plan:
Day one: Push
Day two: Pull
Day three: Legs
Repeat - day off if need be.
Cardio: 7 days a week 20-30 minutes. Heart rate 100-120 for medical reasons.
All work outs with very light weights 12-15 rep range. I do about 6-8 sets total for now. Example of light weight I was using 135 on incline bench and worked way up from just the bar.
I know it is not much but I have to go slow for now. It a big step up from zero.Resident smart arse and grammar fool....instagram: heartandfitness

Whatever the benevolent fat loss gods bestow upon me.
Half a pound per week will only be 6 pounds which on me is a lot and will be nearly a complete transformation, but 2 or 3 more would be perfect. I can always go full on hard core the last 4 weeks if need be.
Today was pull
Wide grip pull-ups----body weighted
5 sets to failure
4 sets seated cable rows
4 sets lat pull down with v-handle
3 sets T-bar rows--1 set overhand wide, 1 set neutral grip, 1 set underhand
3 sets straight arm press down on the dual cable machine
4 sets cable upright rows
3 sets rear delt flyes on the pec dec
3 sets DB rear delt lateral raises, bent over
4 sets standing bicep curls with EZ bar
2 sets standing DB alternating hammer curls
2 sets seated preacher curls with EZ bar
1 set to failure of seated DB concentration curls
1 set of decline sit-ups with a twist holding plate overhead
33 minutes on that ****ing stepmill
3 minutes @ level 10, 1 minute @ level 14.
Maybe a walk run with Bob tonight---his leg is still not good. He wants to run soooooo badLast edited by discdoggie; 01-10-2013 at 01:12 PM.

I'm more or less completely back. I more or less can do everything I used to do. There are a couple of things I still avoid because I don't like how my back feels when doing them, and I'm at much lower weights on others.
It's not the training I'm worried about. It's the diet. I've been considering hiring Kim just because I'm more likely to stick with a plan if I am paying for it.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

2600 feels like so little the first few days. It does not help the cupboard is bare. I need to do some shopping soon. The powerblocks were worth it, I need to upgrade to the 90# version. Found a set for $500 used with stand. But I have seen the 120# used for $650 when I did not have the cash. Know right after I buy the 90# the 120 will pop up.
I've been M,W,F for the last few months, chest/bi/delt, back/tri/, legs/trap. Been planning to switch to a 4 day split again soon. Was working on my plan last Sunday but got sidetracked.

You know what... Screw it! I'm not gonna let fear control me yet again. So what if I have to throw some pictures out there for the world to see. Big farkin' deal. It's not like I'm fooling anyone about my weight anyways! Besides, worrying about what others think isn't gonna help me change one damned bit.

I took a shot last night after hit the gym so I had a pump which now seems to make a really big difference. I did just weights didnt have energy left for cardio. I did do one set of flat bench for first time since heart surgery. After 45 minutes of chest, shoulders and tris I put 135 on the bar just to see what it would feel like. It was heavier than I remember but still I could have repped it for some time. I stop an lift immediately at the first sign of extra exertion.

Yesterday i experimented with giving up my am and pm "herbal supplementation" so I might not be as hungry.
I'll never do THAT again!!! Even my 18 said " mom, maybe you should go take bob for a walk." (That is is code----whenever he offers to walk the dog, I know he is not just walking the dog)

I just saw this thread and figured I'd join in. I'm coming off of a severe ankle fracture (I fractured my talus bone) and was inactive for 3 full months. Wasn't even allowed near a gym, and put on a solid 25lbs. So this competition is definitely a motivator to keep me getting healthy and healed up. I'm going to be posting my progress pics once a week
