    6 month progress?

Started at 168lbs, got diet under control and worked at losing some body fat. I think I've still got a way to go, at 148 right now and I still see a bit of fat in the belly and chest area, I think I will keep cutting for about 2 more months and try to hit low 140s. Opinions welcome on my progress and any major areas I need to work on.
    starting pics.

Not good, then I got my diet a bit under control and dropped to mid 150s.

Currently at 148 not as much muscle under the fat as I had hoped but I think I'm starting to make a bit of progress and look like I at least know where the weights are in the gym.

So, how am I doing? And am I right in thinking 7-8 more lbs then a slow bulk would be a good idea?

You are pretty close to the same conditioning that I am at, and I plan to drop about 10 more pounds to reach 8%BF, then slowly add some lean weight back. You can do whatever you wish, but being that you are in the 12/13 percent BF range why noy drop the rest of the fat then go on a lean bulk.

That's kinda what I'm thinking. Drop down to about 140 then bulk up slowly. I figure at 140 I should be really close to eight to ten percent BF. Looks like I'll be cutting for a few more months at least. Good times, it's nice to see some results though, even if I am carrying a lot less muscle than I hoped.

I would say, especially for your body type, size ect, that you have the right idea. Good idea to get the body fat down to minimum first, really shows you, in bodybuilding terms, what you're truely starting with. Great so far, good luck!

Will do, I do think if I can get to around 140 and lose some fat still, that 5-10lbs of lean muscle would help a ton though. My chest is really lacking imho and I would like to see a lot more lat development. But overall I think the months I've put in have shown returns, and I don't feel like I'm fighting against myself, it seems like the more effort I put in, the more my body is getting used to it as something it's supposed to be doing..if that makes any sense.

Lol well guess I have good leg genes, I better keep on those. I was about 25% bf I would say when I started..if I had to guess, I'm betting 14-16% right now. I would say I'll be 10-12 at 140lbs. I don't really do macros, I try to eat healthy and count cals, I know that at 2300cals I maintain in the mid to high 150s, at 1800, I've continued to lose weight at a steady pace. I am sure I can get to 140 or below at 1800, so don't see a need to drop further. My plan is to hit 140, evaluate, and up my cals a couple hundered at a time while continuing to work out till I stop losing weight. Establish what my maintinance is for 140, then increase cals till I begin slowly putting some weight back on. I would like to hit about 145-150 on the upswing while staying below 12% bf. That's my current set of goals..after that I'll reevaluate where I am and decide exactly where I want to go with that as my foundation.

Sounds like you have set some good goals, I think we all have to set goals to get to where we want, I am at 146.6lb today and 25.4%bf according to my possibly inaccurate Scales, I have never been below this weight, so it will interesting to see what happens, I just wonder how much I will need to lose to get to even 15%bf! There will be nothing left of me.
Well done once again and hope you reach your target.
