    Lacking Triceps

    What's up guys.
    So i've been training for a good 2 years now. Lately though i think my triceps is falling behind compared to bicep & shoulder. I guess it is due to the 3 heads in the tricep which im aware of. I have been looking around for a few good tricep excersises to mix in on mondays with my chest workout, but haven't really found anything with any use.

    My question though, is:
    Which excersises, hits which heads in the tricep. And which excersises would be the best to hit all 3 in one training session(A total of 4-5 excersises max).

    Try one arm pushdowns, just hold the cable dont use any bars or ropes.
    Do overhead extension and tricep kick backs. Weighted dips work good too.

    Thanks for the reply brother haven't been doing kickbacks or dips for ages. Will try it next session!

    remember: you can try all triceps exercises, but they won't grow if you don't do your close grip bench presses, for up to 10 reps. Good luck.

    do skullcrushers, but dont use a bar, use dumbells lying on your back on a bench slow and focus on form. triceps make up 70% of your arm muscle content, biceps the other 30. so you need more triceps work than biceps. hope this helps

    Dips - Close Grip, go deep and dont lean forward.

    Overhead Rope Extension - make sure you get a full stretch.



    This is taken from a charles poliquin article and it should kill your triceps pretty good. IMO you could add in a reverse wide grip cable pushdown.

    I didn't see much tricep growth until I went with lower weight and really really focused on contracting the muscles. Before I did that, I was just using momentum. Good luck OP.
