    disaster cheat meal

I have been on a extremely strict diet for two and a half weeks, cut a lot, and today I thought I would go for a little cheat meal(tired of protein this, protein that).

    Guess what I had:

    1 Patty melt

    Barbeque ribs(chinese)

Mongolian beef(no rice cause I thought about carbs lmao).

    I am done

I hit 4500 cals over maintenance 3 days ago, felt gooood...til I actually counted what I ate.

Just get back on track, do a tonne of cardio and you'll feel 10000x better. Possibly increase your deficit for a week or so.

It's one meal, not the end of the world. You sidetracked your progress but not by much. Just get back to the grind.

That was a small cheat meal lol... I wouldn't worry about it, it is one meal (if it was a whole day of cheating then I would worry). Every once in awhile it is good to cheat, some even recommend putting in a cheat meal to help lose weight. But just get back on track, hit the cardio and move on. Don't dwell on it.

Don't try to do extra exercise to fix this unless you ACTUALLY want to do the exercise. It will only make you feel worse.

Let go of the guilt. People have cheat days. Don't look at tomorrow as anything different than a normal day. You simply need to move on, not let this day get you down.

I have gained 12lbs on a cheat day. I laugh at your "disaster cheat meal".

But seriously, there is no such thing as a disaster meal, day, few days, or even week. The problem is not reverting back to your old habits immediately after the moratorium.

The 12lbs were off in 2 days and I was a couple pounds lighter by the next cheat day. I would be pretty dehydrated and glycogen-depleted by my cheat day and then I would wreck ****. A fun little eating disorder that caused me 2 years of misery, injury, and illness.

Good for you. The ONLY problem with a cheat meal or day is the risk of being thrown off of your plan; stick with it and you take all the sting away from what you did.
