My oldest just turned 17, HS Junior. He is only 6'2", and 282 lbs. My 10 year old is 165 lbs, and 5'4". They both began exercise combined with resistance training @ 7-10 years old.
I think I done goofed... My oldest should be 6'8" by now and my 10 year old should be approaching 6'.... I really hate I screwed them up. It looks like they are just going to be large, rather than giants because of my stupidity......
AM I THE ONLY ONE TIRED OF THESE CRAP THREADS?! ARE THERE ANY WEIGHTLIFTERS OUT THERE THAT ACTUALLY TRAIN, AND NOT "WORKOUT"? I don't care if you are a BB, PL, or just lift for you. GIve us some good sh$t to read and talk about.
I guess this board is just like the gyms in Jan. Or I could just be having a bad day.....

Meh...I'm not convinced their is any connection whatsoever.
But like you, I'm also 5'7" and my pop's is 5'11", and I started lifting weights in eighth grade for wrestling. And I'm probably in the minority here, but I could care less about being taller - my height has done nothing but provide advantages for me thus far in life. I probably spend 30$ a week on incidentals like fresh veggies, condiments, water, and the occasional prime cut. But I make a Costco run twice a month in which I spend about 100 bucks each trip. Without supplements, I budget about 300/month for food. And I almost never go out to eat.
