I have NOT been eating a proper bulking diet. I have been eating crap. It's not good. Having said that... of all the competitors here locally I'm one of the very few who did not have a significant rebound post show. I attribute that to a few things... having bulked up in the off season, keeping my carbs up while cutting, and a genetically good metabolism. That is one thing I learned about myself over the course of this last contest prep. The first time I did it I was kinda on my own. I didn't have many other competitors to compare myself to. This year I got to follow other women during their prep. I kept more carbs in my diet than pretty much all of them. I have learned that I am fortunate to be insulin sensitive and tolerant of carbs. I didn't know this before. I thought everyone's body responded the same way to food as mine does. It's been interesting!
Complimented about my muscle base by steph? Ummm...thanks! I'm not worthy....

Anyway, I posted a question for ya in the bulking section but maybe I"ll be annoying and redundant and ask here too...you said you are at 143 and have plans to go up to 155 by January. In your opinion would that not be too fast? I'm aiming for 2lbs/month myself (although I've stalled for a month...ugh) and I thought anything faster is bound to just bring more fat gains. Whatcha think?

Also, about the insulin sensitivity and carb tolerance...how do you...like...um...know this? How would a gal know if she's insulin sensitive and carb tolerant? I think I'm clueless about the clues for that.

I just saw that you've discovered the wonders (and suckiness) of ice baths. Instead of a tub I use a 30 gallon trash can....no submerging of the hooha makes a huge difference .

Wish I could join you in bulkville...not gonna happen for a while for me
Coming out of "retirement"...Meg is training for a Figure competition...again!!!

LOL... I know right. I so need to. Lots has happened I've just been too busy (and/or lazy) to come here. My busy photography season is coming to an end soon. Until then... I'll be stuck at my computer editing every free moment I have. :/
