    Cutting

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to lose about 20 pounds of fat by about the end of April in order to get lean & ripped. I'm aware I need to significantly increase my cardio exercise. But, as far as nutrition goes, I'm slightly more confused. I'm aware I need a caloric deficit but I'm really conscious about losing muscle. Anyone got any idea of how I need to eat in order to keep muscle, but lose fat.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Since you're concerned about losing muscle, it would be better for you to keep cardio at a minimum and focus on your diet for fat loss. Are you monitoring your diet closely? Do you know your calories and macros?
I'm taking it to the next level.

I agree with the above. Lift heavy and eat at a deficit.

At the top of this forum is a sticky on how to calculate your calorie and macro needs, I found it really helpful. Start there and figure out what your needs are. If you aren't seeing any losses after awhile, re-adjust your numbers.
