Neither. Worrying about the reasons why fans cheer for his/her respective teams is most ****gy. Sorry, OP.

If you go to a school with a football team and root for Notre Dame you're a douche.
If you go to ITT Tech and root for Notre Dame it is slightly less offensive.
My school has no football team, so I'll root for a big school in football and my team for basketball.

It's more ****gy if you go to one school and root for another.
It's also ****gy however when people trash your college team when they didn't even attend one.

deciding randomly one day to be a fan of a team because they win consistently even though they have no relation to that school and live on the other side of the country is the ****giest of all
example: everyone around me became a heat fan when lebron took his talents to south beach then claimed to have always been a heat fan
edit: actually, being a 1 sport fan of a school might actually be the ****giest. they aren't duke fans guys, they're duke basketball fans.Last edited by Rockhard44; 01-06-2013 at 12:44 PM.

Neither.

This makes no sense...
You don't go to college until you are 18, are you not allowed to be a fan of a college team until then?
I grew up in a big college town with no pro teams

If you want to cheer for a college sports team, you should go/graduate from there...
