hey i havent been able to buy a bench yet...is it good to do dumbell presses and flys on the ground?....cheers

Is there anything you can lay on? Perhaps build a makeshift bench (board and cinder blocks etc)? On the presses, if you want to do them correctly and effectively, you want to be able to lower your elbows below the plane of your body.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.
