Shoulder is still recovering. Doing my best to keep from stressing it anymore.
Just got done playing zombies on black ops 2 with my brother and uncle. We had some fun! I've had this bad migraine for a few hours though now, so it's time to call it a night.
Got church in the morning. Plan on waking up around 7am so I can update my stats and post my starting photos. That's about it for now.

Went to the gym this morning to get my bf measured and there were no trainers there....what an EPIC FAIL! Anyways, I got to practice my power cleans. I must say, they seem like they're getting better, so I'm excited about that.
Todays weigh in: An even 190lbs
Since Sunday seems like it isn't a good day to get measurements, I'm gonna be updating my stats every Saturday morning instead.
Woke up and my shoulder feels a lot better than yesterday. That's a big plus
Starting pics as promised (excuse my messy hair LOL):

Picked up some greek yogurt the other day. Had a few bites this morning. It's not bad.

Current lifts
Squats - 225lb
Bench - 195lb
Deadlift - 260lb
Power cleans - 95lb
Goals
Squats - 455lb
Bench - 365lb
Deadlift - 400lb
Power cleans - 250lb
I'm gonna spend the next 6 months working towards these goals. Whether they're realistic or not, idk. I was taught to always aim higher than the original goal that I had in mind. So that's what I'm doing. I'm gonna be following SS for awhile and I'm sure I'll set some pretty amazing PR's in the near future. It's a marathon, not a race! If it takes longer to reach those goals, I'll stick with it until I do. I'm in it to win it peeps!
I believe I signed up for the contest two days ago. That's my starting date. So 6 months from that day is the time I plan on reaching those goals. Looking forward to any and everything! I'm anticipating many obstacles and adversity (hence my shoulder injury), that way I'll be prepared if anything comes my way.
Right now I'm excited and pumped!!!! I'm sure the rest of my brahs are just as pumped (Cowmustard, Jaxlifter, Grifts, and Pishko). I can tell from all the posts, it's freakin crazy!!!!

What'd you have in mind bud? There seems to be a core group of folks in this Keto Log forum who follow/support eachother in a number of different threads...how about one consolidated thread for all of us? I'll TRY and get the ball rolling...but this is a crazy enough idea to work! ;-)

dude, pryor, how do you not have a crock pot on keto??? lulz
I am down for a consolidated log, maybe just one to track stat changes, throw motivational pics in, set goals. not entirely sure how to set it up myself, but whatever it takes to keep this team together and the work done is awesome!!!
EDIT, it seems we are all going for the lean down option, we could vote for whoever made the best pic change(no voting for yourself to be fair), then we could all put $10 dollars into a paypal account of the winner. just a thought.Last edited by Cowmustard; 01-07-2013 at 12:45 PM.

Spent 2hrs in the gym today. Before you say anything, it's not what you think. I was helping my little brother on his power cleans. Had him practice his rack since it was the most noticeable. Turned out great.
Today's workout is as follows:
(Weight, reps, sets)
Squats: 215 x 5 x 3
OHP: 80 x 5 x 3 <----- New PR
Power cleans: 100 x 3 x 5 <-----New PR
After my workout, I did some tabatas. Tried doing burpees for all 8 rounds and couldn't pull it off. My legs were burning so bad. After 4 rounds of burpees, I did speed squats, burpees, mountain climbers and then speed skips. That concluded my training for the day.
Decided I'm gonna do tabatas after every workout, which should okay since I only train M-W-F.
Loving SS so far. Gonna be setting PR's for the next couple weeks hopefully. Starting to really like the power cleans. Glad Grifts and Cowmustard convinced me to do those instead of bb rows. OHP are okay right now. Need to work on explosion. Right now it seems more of a lift than an explosion. Any suggestion on how to fix this? I think it's possible because the weight is a little heavy (naturally because I haven't ever done OHP, not because I don't have the strength).
New footage of power cleans today. About to post that right now.
Shoulder is still a little messed up. When I put my arm straight out and then move it to the side of my torso, I can feel something in my shoulder. Kinda painful, but I've been taking it easy on it.
Forgot to mention caloric deficit in my main post, so here goes: 2,325 cals daily. Broken up as follows: F65%, P30%, C5%.
That's it for now.Last edited by jcpryor3; 01-07-2013 at 06:22 PM.

Good morning everyone! Today's a rest day so I'll be getting things done around the house.
Took my brother to school this morning. Came home and wrote my other brother. Now I'm chillin on these here keto forums.
Later on I have to complete at least one of my assignments that is due tomorrow. I have 2 due. So 1 today, one tomorrow.
It's pretty freaking cold right now.....brrrrr. Anyways, dropped a 10lb weight on the floor yesterday and it bounced and hit my ankle. That little thing hurt. Ankles a little sore today, but it'll be fine.
Scriptur of the day: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 AMP
For those of you who are non-believers, don't mind me. I'm just doing what the Lord called me to do
Joke of the day:
The factory foreman inspected the shipment of crystal vases leaving the plant, and approached his new packer. He put his arm around the man’s shoulder and said,
“Well, Ole, I see you did what I asked. Stamped the top of each box, ‘This Side Up,
Handle With Care.’”
“Yes sir,” the worker replied. “And just to make sure, I stamped it on the bottom too.”
It was a good little laugh to start the day off.
Some motivation:

This is my first attempt at protein pancakes:
Ingredients used:
3 eggs
1/4 cup gluten free almond flour (picked some up today)
1/4 cup milk choc. trutein
First attempt came out a little hard and not really fluffy. Other than that, they were manageable to eat. Plan on trying this other recipe I found. Instead, I'll be using cinnabun flavor this time.Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.
