    Bench reset question

So on Wednesday I was doing 3 sets - 5 reps on the bench press....

On the very last set I only made 4 reps...and the bar speed was slow.....should I take 10% of the weight off or should I try 140 pounds again on my next bench workout which is on Monday ?

Your only one rep away from 5 on your last set. I would leave it at 140 pounds and see if you hit 5 your next workout. Chances are you will. If you still struggle on your next workout then there is no harm in taking a step back and lowering the weight a bit.

Bull. 10 lbs a month is great progress. That's 120 lbs in a year. You think OP being able to bench 390 in two years time "ain't terrible?" 510 lbs in three years? Just so-so?
