Horrible thread?
Being offended is a matter of opinion... everyone's differs and you can't always please everyone at the same time.
I agree that it is not the best quote, however, it is a very practical answer to anyone who thinks they have some kind of a right by saying "I'm offended". Well... you're offended, now what?

Only thing I ever found sort of offensive about SP was the joke about Steven Erwin, since he was such a boss. Otherwise SP is my fav show, funny as fark.

Nope! They make fun of everyone and everything equally. And you do know that when they tried to make fun of the Prophet Muhammed, TWICE, they were censored by the Comedy Central Network itself, right? COmedy Central was afraid of getting their offices bombed.

Our country needs shows like south park to push the boundaries
Trey parker and Matt stone are both very aware of censorship, for example when the FCC allowed the word sh!t south park made an episode with a ticker to count how many times they used the word sh!t in an episode. You have no idea how many times those guys used to get sh!t from their bosses over what they can show vs what gets censored. In the end Id say south park won, because all these years later they still have a large audience and they still show raunchy stuff. But, our pussy society needs shows like south park, or even tosh.0, because those shows stand up against censorship, if you don't believe having ideas/art censored is a bad thing you're a fukkin idiot, just like if you complain about being offended instead of just changing the channel and forgetting it
They didn't censor Muhammad, comedy central did because they were receiving death threats
