    OK, but do you avoid anything that can cause you to blow your shoulder out? You can do it on bench or OHP as well. Same idea.

    Unfortunately, what I would enjoy does not pay what I make now. Being only a few years away from college tuition, I can't take that step backwards. My ex will soon have 4 kids, so I don't expect too much contribution to Mike & Kev's college funds.

    Right. Which is why you need to watch the load. It's not an ego lift like bench of OHP.

    I'd starve. I actually have some things in the works to supplement income. Just need time to focus on them.

    1 - builds more flexibility; works the whole body; works more stabilizer muscles; strengthen core and lower back
    2 - It may not have a place based on your goals. I wouldn't say it's something everyone should be doing.

    The answer to #1 is why I want to work it in. I need a strong core and stabilizers to help my back. Anything I can do for that is worth it.

    2 hour test

    Pretty brutal. Lack of sleep was getting to me. But we did it! Mike and I will be advanced purple belts.

    Poor Kevin was sick today. I kept him home from school because his throat was sore. He has so many issues at school that I figured no need to send him when he wasn't feeling 100% and would annoy the **** out of the teacher (more than usual). Thought he would still be able to test. Fed him dinner then decided to check his temp to be sure. 100. Poor little guy. He was so mad that I wouldn't let him go test. He was so excited to become a red belt. Of course, I think the main source of his anger was that until he tests he no longer outranks Mike and I. I promised him I would sign him up for a private test so he wouldn't have to wait a month for the makeup test. He tests on Wednesday!

    Kevy is still pretty sick. I took him to the doctor and he doesn't have strep, but he's got some kind of respiratory thing going on. And a fever. He's been just lying around for 2 days, which is completely atypical. He should be recovered by his test on Weds.!

    Got under 160 for the first time in 3 years. Pretty happy about that. Makes 8 lbs in 8 weeks. Bill told me I'm looking leaner on top - that he could see my shoulders again. All good!
