Good morning! I'm starting to enjoy cardio.
Everyone has disappeared from this section. It's not like the old days when you could barely keep up with the journals. I'm not sure where everyone went.
I don't like the treadmill, but it's cold out, and when it gets dark my neighborhood isn't safe to run in. Too hilly, windy, and treed. If I get out right at 4:30, I have time. But last night I didn't get out until 5. Plus, I have the treadmill in my basement.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Yes to the first, no to the second. I am aiming for a 1000 calorie deficit, which is roughly where I ended up. For the protein, I'd like it to be higher, but I'm not meal planning and it ends up where it ends up. At the end of the night, I pick what I eat based on how many calories I have left, and what will satisfy any cravings I have. Last night that was a cup of chai, which is all carbs. But, it keeps me away from the candy bars, etc. and I've not binged once in 3 weeks (nor do I have the urge), so I think it's working!

Because I'm impatient.
Actually, it's because I've struggled to stay on plan for the past couple of years. I decided to keep my calories really low during the day so that if I ended up eating more at night (which is where I tend to struggle), I can still be at a deficit. It turns out I haven't been that hungry, so I eat to the 1000 calorie mark. I'm not willing to go below that, even if I'm not hungry.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

It just started snowing about an hour ago and it's not coming down hard at all. I don't think we're supposed to get more than 6" by tomorrow afternoon. They closed school this morning, which NEVER happens before the snow flies. I thought maybe we had moved south overnight!
Have a great weekend!

30 minutes terrain program on treadmill.
So, school was canceled today. Kevin's basketball game is already canceled for tomorrow. TKD is closed tonight and tomorrow. And as of right now, we have a whopping 1/4" of snow on the ground, and it's barely coming down.
Took Kevin to lunch today to celebrate his report card (Mike's going with me tomorrow to celebrate his). He opted for Chili's. Still only at under 1000 calories for the day headed into dinner. And that includes eating a little bit of this:

Cardio
1.5 mile snowshoeing
Nutrition
1,564 calories
144 g carbs
51 g fat
84 g protein
Not sure if those calories are right. I took Mike out for hibachi to celebrate his report card and the restaurant doesn't have any nutritional information available. I searched around the net for some different restaurants and took the highest number. I'm hungry now, so it could be right!https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Kevin is so cute! He's really growing up. Pretty blue eyes.
The snowshoeing sounds like fun and hard work.
I can tell I haven't been working out much until recently. I stared at bicycle on bosu trying to work that out in my mind. Got it now. lol

Cardio
1.62 miles
21:11
13:02 mile
It was 40 out so Mike and I hit the streets!
Nutrition
1,383 calories
65 g carbs
63 g fat
112 g protein
I'm starved tonight, but I came home from Boy Scouts at 9 expecting dinner and there was nothing. So, I heated up what I could find in the fridge for Mike and I and it's too late to cook anything else (I'm also exhausted). Not too happy about the situation, but that's what I get for not just cooking something when Mike and I came back from our run.
6", so nothing great. I was looking forward to a couple of feet!
Doesn't it look delicious? It took all my effort to not eat more than the few bites I had! He is still talking about how big it was.
Happy Monday, Hoos! I had date nights with both boys this weekend, which was nice. Mike opted for sushi and hibachi. Yum.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794
