Cardio
1.96 miles
27:56
It was in the 40s today so Mike and I took advantage and did a run around the school campus. He got a Nike+ for Christmas that he was dying to use. He did 2.8 miles in a little less time than that (I can't remember what he told me). He's a data geek like me, so he's going to have fun analyzing everything once he has multiple runs tracked.
I also foam rolled today for the first time in a long time (my cat beat the **** out of my last one). I got a new one for Christmas:
Holy ****, that thing hurts. I was practically crying doing my IT band.
Hey, girl! How have you been?
I just figured out how to get my hands on the professional pics I had done a few years ago. lol. My motivation is to get back to that!
Woot!

Did not do these. Tried, but my shoulder was bothering me. It's pushup week at TKD, so I think between the 50 I did on Monday and the 60+ I did on Tuesday fried the shoulders.

Did nothing yesterday other than celebrate turning 41. Unless you count kicking my boys' asses at Dance Party 4. We got a Kinect for Christmas so the boys rewarded me with that game. I was panting and sweating my ass off. Seriously, a decent little workout that was loads of fun! I also got the Nike training "game" for Kinect that I will try this weekend. With the upper body and core add ons. I think the boys and my hubby are trying to tell me something....https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

TKD
45 minute class
Good class despite the fact that someone drove their car into the side of the building!
lol - the Kinect takes videos of you as you play. I won't even watch them. I took dance lessons for over 12 years. I'm sure my teachers would cringe if they saw me now!https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

I realized when I went to copy last week's workout that I didn't log it Friday. Oops. It did get done. Goal is to work up to one plyo exercise each day. So, side to side pushups right now involves me moving one arm at a time. Goal is to push up and move both arms at once. Cross back lunges will eventually include a ski jump. Using that to help me get back a little of the athleticism I lost.
Cardio
30 minute "terrain workout" on treadmill
2 - 3.5 mph
0 - 7.5 incline
Much harder workout than it looks!
Tomorrow I tackle Nike+ for Kinect. My husband did the fitness test the other night while we were at TKD and said it was pretty hard.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

70x3
80x3
Side to side pushups

Cardio
30 minutes walk intervals on treadmill
2 - 3.5 mph (most of it is in the 3-3.5 range, under 2 is warm up and cool down)
0 - 7.5 incline
Probably will take advantage of no scouts tonight and hit TKD.
Did the fit test for the kinect Nike+. Did OK, was much better than what they said the average was for women my age (41 - 49 now ). Opted for the fat burn goal. It builds a 4 week workout program based on your fit test results and goal (it also did a series of tests to check how you move and will pick things to address deficiencies, like my right leg). We'll see how it goes. I don't expect great things out of it, but it's a fun way to workout. We also noticed that the Dance Party that I got has some programs designed for cardio - similar to classes at the gym. They have one based on martial arts, some 80's style aerobics, and some other things. Again, a fun way to get a workout in. I haven't had the guts to try them yet - just the regular dance game has me sweating and panting. My boys LOVE it, so I expect we'll be playing it a lot.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Decided to go for the transformation contest. There is a group doing it that I can get some motivation from. Something has to change! The scary pics are on my bodyspace. Consider yourself warned if you get curious - it ain't pretty. Though, in fairness, I did do whatever I could to look as bad as possible. Still, it's not like I looked good before that.
That's going to be my sticking point. I'm in unchartered territory this time around. Last time I did low carb, no problem. All my exercise was around contest prep. Now with the running and TKD, I need to see what macro breakdown works best so that I can keep my performance level up. I suspect low carb won't do that. I'll have a belt test in just under 2 months, and possible a tournament that I need to be ready for.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

I agree. There are certain foods that cause me to retain more water than others (i.e. bread), but that's an individual thing. As long as I can stay in range, I should be fine.
