There's a guy in Houston (arfcom ad) offering an Arsenal SGL21 for sale for $1200 OBO, will not ship. Not great, but not pure robberage in this market. I can do local pickup and ship if one of the crew buys it.

It was the most liked suggestion... I contemplated using the sad face but it seemed too defeatist. Angry face ftw.
Here you go... I just ordered 2 for myself.

Converted Saiga that you talked me into... lulz.
Didnt see anything about that? Cost? I am way out in Nevada though, so I understand the shipping time.
This is a pop up on their site now. Damn.
Due to extremely high order volume, we are experiencing long delays in processing/shipping orders. Please expect and allow 10-15 business days for your order to leave our building. This time frame starts from the time we have the corresponding FFL on file (if one is required), not from the time the order is placed (unless the FFL was already on file). For example, you place an order for a rifle on Dec 20th and we receive the FFL from your dealer on Dec 26th. The 10-15 business days starts ticking on Dec 26th when the FFL was received. If this is not acceptable, please do not place an order with us during this time of record volume. We have doubled our shipping staff and are also working evenings in an effort to process/ship orders as quickly as possible.
We have turned off our phones from accepting in-bound calls so we may focus on processing/shipping orders. This was a tough decision, but one we truly believe will best serve our customers. If necessary to contact us, please do so via email through the Contact Us page on our web site. Please only send us an email if absolutely necessary as we are receiving hundreds per day and these take our time away from processing/shipping orders. However, we will respond to every email we receive.
We are still accepting orders though our website for those who are understanding and accepting of the long delays in receiving your orders.
PLEASE READ: Your card will be charged at the time you place your order. We realize this is not ideal when there are long delays in processing, but that is the way our software works at this time. It is possible you may have to pay your credit card bill before your order is received. If this is not acceptable, please do not place an order with us during this time of record volume.
We value you as a customer and appreciate your understanding.

We all know when you go to buy a firearm you fill out the NICS form and the dealer runs a background on you. Do yall think face to face gun deals should go through a FFL and the buyer has a background done on him and if he passes the firearm registered under his name?
In Texas FTF deals go like this, you give me money I give you gun, do yall think that should change? The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.

here in NJ to buy a firearm private sale for long arms you just need a FireArms ID Card which states your allowed to purchase guns. not saying it should be mandatory nationwide but it would'nt be a bad idea to have some sort of card or something that says John Doe is legally approved to purchase firearms.
we dont need to register long guns or report anything when you buy private sale tho. Pistols need to be registered thoYour Dreams are within reach

I only sell to friends who I know well or dealers. Always been weary to sell to Joe Blow who I know nothing about.

A similar topic caused a sht storm in the last thread.
No. Private property is private property. I believe that sellers should exercise discretion when selling to someone (and in my experience, they do). The same is true with nearly anything. I wouldnt sell a car to someone who is drunk/on drugs just as I wouldnt sell a gun to someone who talked about their gang tats. The entire concept of a permit to buy a gun is not in keeping with the second amendment and unconstitutional IMO. What if someone needed a permit to buy alcohol? Voice their opinion publicly? To vote?
Has the FOID system or something like it been challenged at the federal level?

Gun registration is obviously a horrible idea. History has shown that with registration comes confiscation.
As far as FFL-only transfers, if that were the law, what would stop them from passing another law adding a $500-1,000 FFL fee? Its a slippery slope, and once you start going down it, you can't go back up.Audentis Fortuna Iuvat

Centerfire systems has some VEPR 7.62x54r rifles in stock
http://centerfiresystems.com/AKAGUN-VEPR-54R-16IS.aspx
Too bad they were $699 a few weeks ago $899 is still better than anywhere else that is selling VEPRs though.
