"One morning I woke up and found my favorite pigeon, Julius, had died. I was devastated and was gonna use his crate as my stickball bat to honor him. I left the crate on my stoop and went in to get something and I returned to see the sanitation man put the crate into the crusher. I rushed him and caught him flush on the temple with a titanic right hand. He was out cold, convulsing on the floor like a infantile retard." --Mike Tyson, on childhood

If you're at a restaurant and you order your steak medium rare, and it's served to you well done, do you just sit there and eat it? Do you just accept you well done steak? No. You send it back and you get them to make you a new one. That's how our fore fathers would have wanted it it. I'm an American, and I want my steak the way I want it. So I say to you OP, send back your child, and do not settle for anything less than satisfaction.
Not srs.buys picture frames with stock photos of happy families and hangs them in house so i feel like i have friends crew.

This thread hosts some of the most repulsive responses I've ever seen in my entire life and internet career. How foolish are all of you at how precious a gift a child with downs can be. To be honest none of you hardly sound fit to recieve such a blessing.
My neice has downsyndrome and she is the best gift to ever grace my family. Shes the most loving, gentle, and care free individual the world has ever known. I understand how very scary the situation can be and my brother and his wife were very afraid. Little did they know that Macalin would be the cutest little girl to be born. Seriously at age 8 shes perfectly capable and relatively intelligent given her circumstances. She enjoys watching disney movies and just walks around the house giving people randomly compliments. I'll be like "kay kay your awesome" "No you!" is always her response and it warms my heart just thinking about it.
The community is amazing also and there are several different groups and families you can identify yourself with that are a tremendous help. You meet a lot of strong willed and loving parents and find how genuinely nice and sweet these young children are. Its very difficult in the phase your in but I promise you, you will never find a purer love. I learn something new everytime I'm with my neice and she encourages me to be a better person because of her unbiast love and genuine happiness.
Please OP disregard these ignorant people void of any true sense of love. I'm telling you with a full smile, it could be a blessing.

One minute I'm robbing a dope house. Next minute I'm the youngest heavyweight champion of the world. I'm only 20, 19, with a lot of money. Who am I? What am I? I don't even know who I am. I'm just a dumb child who's being abused and robbed by lawyers. I'm just a dumb pugnacious fool. I'm just a fool who thinks he's someone. Then you tell me I should be responsible?
