Hey Irish brahs, I was advised to post this in here. It's my free Irish language app, let me know what you think. Growing up and going through the school system, I remember hating Irish and the way it was taught, so am trying to introduce a more fun way that kids could get interested in learning the language, using modern technology.
It's FREE. It's a version of the classic Hangman, but with an Irish twist.
Who said learning Irish couldn't be fun? Try out this Hangman game in the Irish language!
Is your vocabulary big enough to save the Leprechaun from embarrassment? Play Irish Hangman and find out!
Challenge your Android device to a battle of words.
Complete the secret word before you run out of guesses or the Leprechaun will be humiliated!
With instructions in English, and gameplay in Irish, as well as translations for the secret words at the end of every round, Irish Hangman truly is the most fun and effective way to learn the Irish language.
Word lists include:
- animals
- parts of the body
- clothes
- colours
- family
- food
- numbers
- sports
- weather
and many more!
http://play.google.com/store/apps/de...s.irishhangman
we hope that this will help kids to take an interest in learning Irish (and maybe some older kids too)
At the moment it's Android only, but we will develop an iOS version ASAPno ads here.

I recommended this thread to the user above but never posted ITT before. I'm a Nordie who never has happened to have gone down South much.. I'm becoming more independent nowadays (losing old uni friends etc) and thus want to travel down South alone.
Where are good routes and places to visit down South? Dublin and Cork seem so far away from each other ugh. Wanna pick off the big ones first though. Anyone know if the hostels are good fun in Dublin or heard anything about them from word of mouth?

i'd imagine the hostels in temple bar are good craic, so long as you're not planning on sleeping haha
there's one called Times Hostel on camden place, which i walk past on my way home from work every day, and always has a group of foreigners outside drinking and smoking so i'd imagine its decent fun too. plus you're right off harcourt street, which is where most clubs areno ads here.

I am going to be in Dublin in December! I can't wait. I missed it so much. It's funny, I lived in Dublin for two years and never really went anywhere. I went on a road trip once to the south west coast and Howth (lol, it's beautiful but it doesn't really count as 'going somewhere') and that's it. What a waste!
This time around, I plan on visiting as many corners of the country as I can but I am a bit strapped for time. My friend and I are thinking of hiking in Donegal and or Kerry first. Any Donegal and Kerry miscers who can recommend places to stay and things to do?

4,500 even without any road expirience is absolutely appalling , are you sure someone wasn't trying to take you for a ride.
As for app brah up above , bravo good to see the Irish language manifest itself in the digital age. That's the way it should be taught also , make it fun and stress the significance to our identity and kids won't think it's a dose anymore.***Irish Misc Crew***
