It sucks, but we have to deal with it.
Today was a good day, had a real positive vibe, got invited to a birthday on friday, will be meeting some new people there, maybe some nice girl(Mission girlfriend is still running , not 100% confident yet, but at least I'm not ashamed of how i look anymore), looking forward to it.
Macros were:
140gr protein
10gr carbs
11gr fat
Did my little workout today too, nothing too intense. Soccer practice tomorrow again!
Will be checking out The Wire now, and get some sleep afterwards, take care guys.

Can we? You should answer that, you are the cardio monster.
What I just realized btw, it is so crazy how GOOD simple things taste right now, being on this diet really brings my taste buds back to their "natural state".
For example, grilled mushrooms taste amazing(!), same for chicken, and even Harzer (mountain) cheese, I don't know if you know of it in america, but the macros for it are sick, 100gr have 30gr protein, 0,5gr fat, 0gr carbs. People always say how digusting it tastes, even I used to think that. Today I bough it, and it tasted actually GOOD. I will be in heaven once I can start keto lol.
Aiming for the full month of PSMF, without any refeed, 15 more days to go, I can do this!

That's how some meals feel to me right now. Man, my friend is coming back next week from america, I really hope he was able to get/find the quest bars. Those would be my daily highlight on this diet. Ordered 12 bars of each taste (100% natural line, 20gr protein, 5gr fat, 2gr net carbs per bar, and very important, sweetened with stevia instead of splenda etc.).
Will be having my shake in a few minutes, work is finished in 30 minutes also. Soccer practice starts in 2 hours.
Will report again later, till then!

Got back from soccer, was fun, I was much more dynamic, I can feel that I'm getting fitter and the fat is getting less. What annoyed me was the snow, it was pretty slippery, I hate that, you can't really go all out, without risking an injury (I sometimes did, and I fell down pretty often today because of it, but it's all fine, only the knee is hurting a little bit, but nothing serious).
Also bad news about the Quest Bars, my friend that is in america just told me, that he had a lot of things to do, and no time to get them. So no Quest Bars for me, man, really sad about it, was really looking forward to them. You can't really get them in europe, unless you pay 3x the price, and even then they are hard to find, damn it. I envy you guys in the U.S.!
Well, maybe they will be available in here for normal prices some day, gotta wait I guess.
Other then that, everything is fine, macros are spot on,
127gr protein
7gr carbs
8gr fat
Looking forward to my last meal now, it's going to be Harzer Cheese (protein only basically).
Later!

Weigh in after 3 weeks into the diet, January 19th.
Weight last week: 83,2kg / 183lbs. Weight today: 83,8kg / 185lbs / +0,6kg / 1,3lbs
Waist last week: 101,5cm. Waist today: 100cm / -1,5cm
Chest last week: 101cm. Chest today: 100cm / -1cm
Thigh last week: 57cm. Thigh today: 56cm / -1cm
Arm last week: 36cm. Arm today: 36cm / +/- 0cm
Ok guys, whats going on here?
I gained 0,6kg, but I lost measurement almost everywhere, that is really odd.
I can see I'm getting leaner too, without a doubt, the mirror does not lie.
Really confused about this.
I read that your fat cells can fill up with water while you are dieting, maybe that is the cause?
Will try to find some sience about this asap.
I'm not gonna lie, I don't really know how to feel.
I lost measurement, and see changes in the mirror, but on the otherside I gained 0,6kg...hmm.
Anyone experienced something similiar?
Voice in my head is telling me to either refeed, or start a keto diet.
But I won't do any of it, without thinking about it thoroughly!Last edited by GTO91; 01-19-2013 at 05:47 AM.

Ok guys, read a lot of stuff about this thing now, especially these 2 posts by Lyle McDonald helped me to ease my mind.
http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat...uishy-fat.html
http://forums.lylemcdonald.com/showthread.php?t=14
So I'm not so worried about the weight "stall" anymore.
As long as the Inches/Centimeters are getting less, and the mirror is showing me changes, everything is fine!
So, no Refeed, no switch to keto, just straight up continuing with my typical PSMF, and screw you scale, you won't make me crumble!

Day was fine, had the weigh-in results on my mind, but I will just do another week of PSMF like I said already, excited for next weeks weigh-in, hoping to get the "whoosh-effect", at least I lost some measurements, otherwise I would have been devistated.
Crazy how the number on the scale can have such an effect on your mind. Will keep these things off of my mind, and just do the diet until next weigh-in.

Drinking gallons of water is pretty controversial. I personally get by on barely drinking any just fine. Besides you get quite a lot of xenoestrogens if you drink from plastic bottles which can make weight loss harder.
1.5 is enough IMO.
Scale can be deceptive. Remember - as long as you know you have worked out and ate well, you are loosing fat.

Thanks for the input!
I will give the 3 liters a try for this week, and see how it goes. I would often feel dizzy after I woke up, and also feel kind of "dry" (does that make sense?), maybe this will take care of that, we'll see.
Are you doing a ketogenic diet too? Because I'm sure you need extra water on any ketogenic diet, compared to a "normal" diet.

Hey guys, haven't posted for a few days, so here is a little update.
I have stopped the PSMF on monday (for now!), because the weight-loss was stalling.
So since 4 days I'm eating high calorie BUT it's all keto-style, haven't touched carbs!
I'm eating until satiety, lots of nuts, cheese etc.
What I'm trying to achieve with that is, to let my body recover a bit from the PSMF and push my metabolism, but without a refeed/carb-up (I'm almost a month without carbs now, I can feel that I'm getting keto-adapted, I don't want to mess that up by eating carbs).
Monday I ate A LOT, something like 5000 calories, carbs were at 20gr.
Thursday I was not really hungry at all, had like 1500 calories.
Wedneys I had like 4500 calories.
Today I will be having around 3500-4000 calories
I went into this amount of calories straight after my PSMF, so from 600 calories to 4000-5000 calories.
It seems that I have not gained much, I can't really see me getting "fatter", my pants seems actually a bit more loose, it's crazy!
But I will see the results ont he weigh in on monday or sunday!
So, whats next?
Option 1
Keep on eating until satiety until monday(so I have done a week of this), check out measurements and weight, and adjust calories, so I can have a normal keto diet with a small deficit(no refeed of course).
Pro
-Start eating the way, I intend to eat for the rest of my life anyways, so when I'm done, I already have the lifestyle, and only need to up the calories a bit, to maintain/bulk.
-Eat tasty food
-This diet is made for my body, I can feel it. I have crazy wiggle room with calories also, so basically If I eat 3000 calories of keto food, I don't put on nearly as much as I do on 3000 calories with carbs.
Cons/Unsure
-I might be loosing the weight slower, then I would with the PSMF, but I don't even know that for sure. It actually seems, that restriciting calories just a little bit, can be better for weight loss, because metabolism does not seem to shut down that fast.
Option 2
Go back to PSMF, but with a major change, weekly clean carb ups!
PSMF works, no freaking doubt. But the thing is, after the first 7-10 day, the weight loss gets a lot slower, so with a refeed every week (maybe even more often), it should be going pretty well.
Pro
-This might be really effective, like crazy effective (major pro)
-Carb refeed is something to look forward to, at least taste wise
-I can satisfy my curiosity, since I'm really wondering how PSMF with clean and controlled refeeds would go
Cons/Unsure
-I would be breaking my keto-adapted state, by doing the refeeds. I have been without carbs for almost a month now, and I feel great, so that would kind of suck I guess.
-Feeling weaker I would think, compared to the normal keto diet
-Food on PSMF is really fad
Well, lots of options, and lots of things to think about.
I think I will decide around monday (maybe sunday or thursday)
Maybe you guys have some input?
I don't even know if anyone is reading, but you might want to help a fellow dieter out, appreciated.
And damn, what a wall of text, sorry I guess.Last edited by GTO91; 01-24-2013 at 12:19 PM.

Btw todays macros:
3920 calories
357gr fat
133gr protein
23gr carbs (almost all coming from nuts, I freaking love roasted and salted macadamias and almonds!
I can tell that my body is really happy about that food, especially after PSMF, also my energy levels are great.
Really excited for the weigh-in, I think by eating that much more, you would expect a big gain in weigh, especially since I came off of a diet with 600 calories only.
But I don't think the gain will be that bad at all, and from my feeling, I did not gain much fat either!
I know this is a controversial topic, after the weigh-in I can say more, but I suspect, that the people who say "calories in / calories out is not all to fat gain/loss" might be right!
But don't get me wrong, I don't think I can eat like 4000-5000 calories for months, and not gain any fat, I'm just thinking, that on keto there is much more wiggle room.Last edited by GTO91; 01-24-2013 at 12:41 PM.

I just weighed myself, 83,7kg and same measurements as saturday. (so even 0,1kg less weight)
So what is this magic?
I was counting the calories really exact, so I was eating 4000-5000 calories for sure...whatever, keto is awesome!
I think I will start a normal keto diet, give it a try at around 2500-3000 calories, and sew how it goes, might start a keto-log!Last edited by GTO91; 01-25-2013 at 12:52 AM.
