There's actually a lot of truth to this unless of course they are organic apples. I read once that apple growers won't even eat their own crops due to the pesticides and fungicides.
Oh and by the way lol about the short "ladies" bar at the gym. I checked it out. Dude - the bar isn't even Oly - that's why no one uses it. It's meant to take standard, not olympic, plates. And no, I can't let it go obviously. Happy New Year, Keltron!A successful woman is one who can build a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at her

Speaking of angry, you know what pisses me off the most? The uninformed people of this country. Did you know that the pesticide DDT is illegal to use in this country, yet our friends to the south use it for almost every thing they grow, which eventually ends up on Ameica's mealtime plate. Nevermind the fact that DDT killed my father when he was forced to bathe in it when he was 13 years old, and only lived to 82.

India uses DDT soaked mosquito nets to prevent malaria, and they also spray it on drying fish to stop flies. My cousin's wife is an Agronomist, who at one time worked for the CSIRO,and she believes that DDT was the SAFEST pesticide ever to be used by humankind. When I was a lad,my mum used it regularly and liberally for fly and mozzie control, sometimes she even sprayed clothes, blankets etc.,to keep moths away.
Oh and OP,congrats on your spelling getting better!

Speaking of laughter...ha ha. I had a wonderful New Years Eve. Ate like a little pig, and fell asleep content as could be, only to awaken with the thought of my brother (gone now) on my mind. I stayed awake for a good long while just sitting, remembering, and crying. Not a bad thing. One of those things you get over relatively quickly. But when it 'moves in on you,' there's not a lot you can do. This time of the year it's easy to get a little 'nostalgic,' and life's memories can come flooding right back in and throw you off your feet.
Sometimes it's good to just see and read some silliness, as long as it's in good fun, and not ugly. To be truthful, I thought a little bit like Eomrat, folks can sometimes 'pile on.' As long as it's in jest, laughing with one, and not 'at one,' that is the key. I just remember some posts that struck me as hilariously funny, the ridiculous, lighthearted (somewhat?) banter. It's never a bad thing to poke some fun. Just as long as it's done with some respect and understanding. We're not that much different when it comes down to it.
That's my new years speach. LOL Blessings upon everyone! Ha ha, I feel like that little street urchin from Charles Dickens.paolo59

You always have to be the 'nice' one, don't you, Paolo.
Me, the act of bb is wearing thin already. Whoever he is, he's doing a first-class job of trolling but whatever. Right now, I'm too sick (from a slight case of food poisoning!) to do much of anything...I need a laugh!!

I don't know how this morphed from not making fun off bbsitum to anyone involved in the Sustaininable Agriculture Movement likes to watch black babies starve.
Go search my post history. I am one of the very few that have NEVER made fun of him.
I HAVE done my research; thousands and thousands of hours of it, actually. And the only time I ever read the huff post is when someone here links an article to it.Sheriff John Brown always hated me

You are the one who is misguided if you believe genetically modified foods is about feeding the starving masses. It's about MONEY.
And a great deal of people I know who are leaders in the movement ARE farmers. As in, own and live on their own self-sustaining farms.
Shipping bags of GMO corn to Africa is not going to stop starvation over there. If the answer was that simple, starvation would have been eradicated long ago.Sheriff John Brown always hated me

Thanks Eomrat for support. I'm fine with joking except for that philosophical statement of "acting". What would be that? I lift like 70 times per year. I will post one better picture of myself soon in this tread (take care of lighting) so we will see if I act or lift. And no one who is at this forum don't act. Who don't lift he don't have reason to be here. As is tread evolvement in question nothing more normal then that. Thread will or evolve or die, you can’t talk about same topic all time.
Still always don’t know what mean “is it potatoes strong with you”.
