There is a kid at my gym who benches EXACTLY like this. Last time I saw him in there.... he had the bar loaded up to 305lbs. He is probably 150lbs.... so he certainly got my attention. Imagine my surprise when I saw him "lift" the weight.

No brain, no gain.
You can't out-train bad nutrition.

How sad it is that I saw half a dozen guys benching with this exact form today, and even spotted one of them?

Same. I train at 24 Hour Fitness and "ego" lifters seem to gravitate to that place. I've noticed its often the younger crowd, between 16 and 25 years old. I always wonder when the light bulb will come on with these people and they understand what they think they are doing isn't what they are really doing.

Was waiting for him to start benching. But when he gets up & asks, "Did you help?"

"Did you help?"
"Little help or no help?"
"No touching in between?"
"How was the range?"
Hilarious! You've got some comedic skill there. Why stop at bench press though? You should make more videos of other exercises too. You could do a half hour commedy skit.

I said to the guy "I noticed you went a little deeper that time."
Was still nowhere near full ROM. I hope he got the hint.

I would say probably not, people tend to be pretty damn dense and unless you tell them point blank it goes right over their heads.

Consistency. Intensity.
Dude, how dangerous is that?? I mean, even with the spotters, if there's no possible way you COULD fully press that kind of weight you have NO business placing it over your head like that. None. That's beyond a joke.

It was clearly staged for youtube Bill. Just intended for humor and attention.
