    Taking a break?

So I have been pondering the idea of taking some time off. I just feel burnt out but at the same time I have a hard time taking days off due to a feeling of being lazy if I don't at least do some cardio.

Anyone experience this , what are the pros and cons you guys have seen from taking time off?

Taking time off is completely normal and healthy. Just make sure you keep your diet in check and decide ahead of time how long the break will be. Stick to it, then get back into exercise. I take 2-3 days off per week and am still losing weight. Any weightlifting routine for getting bigger will have days off as well.

In my experience, when I feel burnt out like this, all it takes is about 4 or 5 days of rest before I am back in the gym. A few days off isn't going to make any significant impact on your goals and can do wonders for your mental health.

I've been training for a half marathon and there are days I just don't have it in me to run. I take a break for a few days and when I get back at it I find that I have better speed and endurance than before. Just make sure your few days of a break don't turn into procrastination.
