A pure newbie lifting since November 2012.
Beginning weight in Nov 2012: 142lbs
Currently on a Flat Bench Press mission.
Deadlift in Nov 2012 vs April 2013: 45lbs vs 320lbs (Repping out for now, focusing on bench)
Bench in Nov 2012 vs May 2013: 85lbs vs 205lbs

it doesnt matter, you lack the muscle to cut...cutting will provide nothing but a smaller version of your current self

You really have little to no weight to lose at this point....your problem is lack of muscle and you cant fix that cutting...I suggest a very long slow bulk with a minimal surplus and you will get definition and gain quite a bit of muscle then come 18months or so later when your much bigger you can cut and look good.

As much as I understand what you're trying to say, no one really has the decision to tell someone to bulk to 170lbs then cut to 150lbs.
OP, your mirror should decide most of the things normally. I'm looking to bulk to 180-190lbs before the end of next year, then I'll re-evaluate how my bulk is. If it isn't enough, I'll keep bulking. Really, there's no set weight to bulk at nor to cut at.

BF is low enough not to waste time on deficit.
Allpro's <<<check this out for good beginner program.
Eat in a surplus to fuel muscle growth. Some nutrition sticky topics. These are good for understanding basic nutrition.

cut down to what? you need to bulk for a few years buddy... i know when ppl say they want to cut is because they want abs, stuff abs. build up a good foundation first...
