Only the biggest haters/most delusional detractors try to downplay Reem's striking credentials. Cain needs to ask his boy Jon Fitch what to do, because any attempt to bring it to 'Reem like he did with JDS is sure suicide. He may have caught Junior off guard by trying to flesh out his boxing, but that is NOT the way to play it with Overeem.
Yep if Cain doesn't get it to the ground early in every round he's gonna get tooled.

For Reems kickboxing to work there needs to be distance and time. His hands are fairly average its his kicks that do the most damage.
First round of the JDS Cain fight JDS was avoiding his takedowns with ease until Cain clipped him. If the Reem fight goes the same way goodnight sweet Cain.

This. He knocked out Badr Hari with a lead hook ffs.
Cain has such an advantage with his cardio.
Overeem is obviously the better striker, and he has great take down defense.
This is a 5 round fight though. I see Overeem controlling the first couple rounds, stuffing Cain's takedowns and out striking him, perhaps even getting a KO but if it goes into the later rounds of the fight, Cain will be able to out work him and get him down once Overeem starts to fatigue.

If Overeem doesn't get the KO in the first round or maybe the second, then he is screwed. He doesn't have the cardio or the heart to last. Unlike JDS, Overeem can not take a beatdown and will get TKO'd.
