i think why ronny didn't say anything because they didn't know anything about the subject and if they did they probably wouldn't be talking all that chit. it was pretty funny tho watching those people talk chit and don't know a thing about the subject. "why do you do poses like that? do you think it makes us horny?" LOL!

Really glad to see BBers with a level head on them like this.
Ruhl answered the question pretty well too in this interview (5:30)
Exactly. Aside from ratings, it's all about people who feel that their way of life is called into questions as "Wrong" by those who live differently.PRs - Sq / B / D / Total

Thanks for the vid. This was much more bearable than the video in the OP lol. However, there were still some huge flaws in some of the arguments made.
My biggest gripe was that they discussed prolonged use of steroids (8 years I think the guys said) and cycling steroids as one in the same. Prolonged use is MUCH more detrimental to heart health.
Second, I believe the whole "steroids associated with depression/suicide" is a good example of correlation vs. causation. If you look at the population of people who choose to use steroids, I think you will find a large percentage of them already suffer from some mental/self esteem issues."Maybe strong is just what you have left when you've used up all your weak."

this. its just a ratings game. would be too boring to watch otherwise.

These things dont bother me because im pretty sure anyone who goes to a studio to randomly insult someone whether it be for for bodybuilding or having 18 kids with 30 different guys who are all her brothers has a pretty ****ty life to begin with. I mean seriously who gives up time out their lives to go watch this ****.

Exactly man, I don't understand how some people can invest so much time/energy/hate/obsession towards what others are doing in their lives. It always blows my mind. Just like how obsessed some people can be with certain celebrities, etc. I'm way too busy living my own life to care/worry that much about what somebody else I don't even know is doing with their life. As long as what somebody is doing isn't harming me or others I don't see the problem or why people feel the need to bash them.

More upsetting than funny. Talk about ignorance.
What if you knew someone who got crippled in a car accident and someone was talking chit to them saying that the only reason they don't walk more is cus of laziness?
Or if someone who is on cholesterol medication due to genetic predisposition, already changed their diet, and then someone rags on them saying they should eat less cholesterol?
Not exactly the sort of things I find funny.

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgement that something is more important than fear; The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.

I love how they never invite somebody like Nasser, Lane Norton, or Frank Zane on those panels to crush people with their educations, or have any serious proponents. These discussions are set up to make it an uphill battle for bodybuilders. They have to argue that what they are doing is legitimate and worth doing while the opponents and audience have no such burden of proof. That in itself makes bodybuilding out to be something strange and undesirable. They also never include regular people like us on those shows who bodybuild at a recreational level. The extremes are non-participants/other atheletes and professional competitors. It doesn't exactly address the "99%" so to speak.
Also, the woman wasn't "fat" or a "whale." She was pretty average. There's no real reason to attack her appearance her argument rests on the idea that doing that is ok. She said plenty of dumb things along with her Justin Bieber impersonator supporter in the audience.Last edited by Pump Freak 86; 01-02-2013 at 10:48 AM.
