It doesn't matter when. As long as you take 5 grams a day.

Creatine works - it's by no means magical, but its the most studied (and most proven) nonsteroidal ergogen in the bodybuilder's arsenal.

3-5g of creatine monohydrate daily (even this might be a more-than-adequate dose once saturation is achieved), no loading or cycling necessary, taken at your convenience is all that's necessary.

I personally use SNS Creatine Monohydrate because it's high quality and I get it for free as part of my compensation package, but I'd suggest you look at it too. 1200g is 240+ servings for $11, an absolutely unbeatable value.
