    Addicted to Preworkout's

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that they need their Preworkout before every workout? I just feel my workouts are so much better! Could also be the caffeine I enjoy, since I don't get it from any other source. Love Craze and SuperPump Max ( superpump taste great)!

It does become quite an addiction. I probably had only a handful of workouts in the past 4 years where I didn't take a pre-workout (only because I forgot somehow). While this isn't healthy at all, I kind of cycle myself a little bit by modifying my routines from time to time. Some routines will have me in the gym 6 or 7 days a week while others are only 3 days/week. On those 3 days/week routines, my body gets a much needed rest from all the stims and I find that they are much more effective at the recommended dosage then when I'm taking them day in and day out.

They do become a serious habit, that's for sure. Sometimes you just need to just man up and take time off of all stims though, once you start working out the workout usually goes fine though, just getting started and in the zone can be rough without a pre. I'm due for a stim break soon myself, my tolerance is getting out of hand.

Same here. Instead of just going cold turkey on the stims, I am going to taper it off.

Many stimulants in pre's are similar to amphetamine. Although generally the research isn't there, it'd be safe to assume that there could be some mental, but most likely physical, addictive effects. Especially with dopaminergic properties.

I switch between stims and non-stims. Squat days are beta-alanine, chest day is caffeine

Every couple weeks I try to steer clear of stims for a week just to help rejuvenate my receptors and to remind myself I can train without them...lol..but also I always take the week of a show and the week after a show off of them as well.

It also happen to me when i became addicted to preworkout, and if i dont take it, then my wrkout is no good or no motivation, really dont know if its placebo effect or not, so i just force myself to stop for a months, its hard for 1st to 2nd week, but you wil use to it.

And also its not healthy to take prewrkout everyday even if you wrkout 4x a week. Also dont take nonstim pre wrkout, its also the same that make you addicted to drink any before wrkout. Just rely on your strength and your own motivation, and if you back on track with your prewrkout you will amaze how effective it is, even in just half scoop.

I tell myself that I need to "chill" on taking a pre-workout. Usually I follow through with it for about 2-3 weeks, then I'm right back on it. Is that enough time off from a pre-workout?

    Yes, that's fine.

I went through a point where I was extremely dependent on stims. Needless to say it was a rough time. Now, I enjoy going to the gym on my own power and motivation while using natural energy more than I do jacking myself up with caffeine.

Note: I do still consume creatine pre and will occasionally use Hemavol, but I stay stim free 99% of the time.

I also use creatine daily and when I don't use a pre, I'll take creatine and a banana pre-workout.

Only started using a Preworkout about three or four months ago. Took a weak off after first month then went back to it. After another month of taking a Preworkout tried to take a weak off again and hardly made it. Third time around after using a pre for about 4 weaks only lasted 4-5days one. Now I feel working out sucks with out one! I'm going to attempt to go off of Preworkouts after I reach my goal on my bench. Dumbell flat bench 100s 10x for a set. Currently at 100s 7x for a set, might of made 8 last time but I didn't have a spot. Hoping to reach goal in a few weaks. Then I'll drop the Preworkout for a while as planned. Before then maybe I will slowly lower my dosage?

well my vote goes to AAEFX'S KOTIC. i've been using it for over 2 years now and i wouldnt trade it for any other pwo out there right now. i've tried a few samples of some of the newer ones from friends and at shows, and yes some of them are good products but they're not complete one way or another. either some are too strong or weak, and some just give me a really bad crash once i'm done with my training. but with kotic, just one scoop gives me all the energy, focus and pump i need to get through an entire workout and no crash afterwards. i've actually had some friends ask me for samples time and time again and most have actually turned over to kotic now.
I'm a famous scientist and I approve this message.

I always taper too. Lol I went to basic training for the air force drinking about a pot and a half of coffee a day and had to stop cold turkey because your not aloud any stims in basic training, basic training itslef is tiring and miserable enough on its own....never again.

****ing hell i know what you mean guys. I have been using nutrabolics swollen or 1MR with nutrabolics geranium 25 caps and **** they are soooo addicting. I even take them at work when im bussing tables for the extra energy lols. I know I need to break free and chill out on them for a little while but it just seems that I have no energy or motivation when I dont take em (especially the geranium or DMAA).

Yea man for sure. The geranium is killing me though, for me it is sooo addicting. When I wake up I'm immediately thinking of taking it and looking forward to my workout.

It's one of those stimulants that are pretty easy to get stuck on needing, the superman euphoria it gives you the first time you take it is pretty addicting. I'd suggest avoiding 1,3 in the future amigo

went through a tub of fierce dom, a tub of focus xt (with extras) and a tub of sour apple super pump max and all 3 were awesome. back on the craze train now absolutely loving that apple pie flavor and the workouts have been fantastic. haven't taken a stim break for a bit but in a few weeks i'm going to start one using the good ol' ultima/hemavol combo. i love using preworkouts.
