i hate doing squats. whenever im at the bottom portion of the squat (in the hole) it feels like i could take a massive chit at any second, and it just feels awkward as hell on my hips/lower abdominals when i push myself back up from the ground. however, i LOVE deadlifts, they're easily my favorite lift to do. i was just wondering though, do conventional, romanian, or sumo deadlifts have any significant carryover to how much i can squat? like could i actually increase my squat by doing deadlifts?
pls respond

Deadlifts can have some effect as they strengthen your posterior chain. Sumo deadlifts would have the most effect because they hit the quads and flutes quite a bit.

Some carryover for sure. I think I'd probably get better input posting this is in the powerlifting forum than the teen.

Why would you train one way to achieve another results answer is squat to build your squats
Each evening I go to bed with doubt by my side and each morning I wake with doubt to greet me. It ain’t easy to live with that sh*t, but it is a part of the uncommon life. There are no promises or guarantees, only an untold future with no regard for your desire for comfort or security.
