I know the exercises. I just don't feel my lats really burning out during exercises.

Is the burning restricted to smaller muscles like bis and tris?

I never had a lat pump/soreness until I did Kroc rows.

But from my experience as someone whose back is worse than terrible and has been neglected since day one. When I did movements like lat pull downs and pullups, every muscle but my lats would contract and pick up all the slack my lats couldn't deal with.

I lowered the weight drastically and really focused on squeezing my lats and it seems to be working.

Disregard wide grip exercises, do some close grip pulldowns, bb rows, db rows to the hip keeping the shoulder girdle down, then i would add in some wide grip pullups/downs to hit the teres major/etc at the end of the workout.

Keep back arched, in all exercises, the lats can't contract as efficiently when you're hunched over. Don't over arch either though, just keep chest up.

1 arm lat pulldown or row machines are the best for the pump/burn.

Cheers, I'll get round to repping off r/c. The thing is, there's soreness the next day, but I feel like I'm spinning my wheels in the gym when my muscles aren't burning the fuk out. My bis, tris, abs, legs and sometimes chest fire up well, it's just my lats never really burn and get me to stop a set.

if you're burning your tris then you're pulling too high. (head going too far over bar on pullups and pulling bar too far down)

biceps then your probably pulling with arms and not with back
