what could happen if my belt rips apart during a heavy squat?
did anyone have this kind of situation? I have a velcro belt and wonder what could happen if it rips apart
I don't wear it ultra tight

Any time I tried a velcro belt, it popped off if I tightened it to the tightness of a real belt. I doubt your belt is doing much for you anyway so it is likely that nothing will happen.

I was in the pool!!

No bromo
I would get a real belt.
That said, I'm sure you'll be fine if it does happen. A velcro belt probably provides little assistance in terms of intra-abdominal pressure anyway.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

One way to not rip any belts is to squat without a belt.
Strength + Speed = Power
If you never fail, you aren't truly pushing yourself to the limit. If you never push yourself to the limit, how do you know what you're truly capable of?

I use my belt only on my heavy 4-6 rep sets. Only squats and deads

Have you ever worn a real belt?

STRONG(ER)
It could potentially take your mind away from concentrating on the lift and in turn you may not make the lift.

I have used a $30 leather belt that has a buckle, and it worked well. Can you afford a $30 belt?

Yeah, I've worn normal buckle belt sever times, but didn't liked it and couldn't get used to it.
I work only in 4-6 rep range, and velcro nylon belts are much more comfortable for me, I find. Money is not the issue.

I do. Have been considering loosening the lever on my belt, but I just figure it's from the small fat gain i made because of the holidays.
Breathing is overrated.
