I joined a basketball team and I want to know if I should wear just the jersey, or a tee shirt under it. I am 16, 5'6, and my arms are almost 11 inches around. I kind of want to try wearing the sleeveless jersey, but I'm wondering if I'm so skinny I'll be laughed at. I've been working out and am slowly gaining muscle, but I'm not sure if it will be enough. Any advice?

sorry I'm 5' 10 3/4" and when I got to 154 lbs, I looked like i was on crack, even people asked if I used drugs...that is not average.
To OP: ....Even big guys in pro-ball look thinner with the sleeveless tanks seeming they are long length and loose fitting. Wear a tee underneath, even subconsciously it should better your game, seeming how insecure you seem to already be.
I used to wear a long sleeve sweater-type jacket even through summer since I was self-conscious about looking too thin even at 175 in high school, so a tee underneath is no big deal, go for it.
