went to a supp store one of the guys just said to me man you better be eating every 2-3 hours to keep that metabolism going hard so you gain muscle and lose fat.
if you want to tone muscle do hypertrophy
if you do cardio after gym you will lose all your results because it will just use your muscle as energy
don't eat that its just full of chit you will get fat and lose your gainz.
you need BCAA's because your body runs out of it during your workout or when your feeling tired at work it means your body is out of BCAA's .Squats - 140kgx1
Bench - 82.5kgx6
Deads - 132.5kgx5
Press - 55kgx3

Damnit, I wanted to say the two first!
Things I'vesgitimately heard: You can't do "high" squats, you can't do stiff legged deadlifts.
"Aww, my abs are getting so jacked I trained them so hard yesterday" - kid is not skinny but still ~16% bf.
my dad: I want to have a smaller stomach, show me abs exercises I can do at home. But I don't want to use weights or do anything that's hard
And if you want a laugh, read my sig. A member here ACTUALLY said that: and I got negged for calling him out on his bs.Last edited by Borum; 12-28-2012 at 12:55 AM.

Cousins bf talking to me about water weight, creatine.. keep in mind I'm not calling him out just kinda playing along
Him: Creatine is bad for you all it does is five you water weight you will lose as soon as you stop taking it.
Me: But I don't take creatine, I'm just bulking, and I have gained water weight.
Him: Yeah but that's like good water weight you know? The kind that is good and builds muscles. The bad water weight from creatine you will just lose

These are the standard 5 that I keep hearing
- Weightlifting stunts growth
- Fat makes you fat
- Carbs make you fat
- You have to gain fat first then turn it in to muscle
- If you stop working out, your muscle will turn in to fat
But the most annoying one has got to be those people who say that bodybuilders are all size no strength, and that big guys aren't proportionally strong.

Funny thing guys. My body seems to react to some broscience here. Ever since I've cut down some of my carbs I've also cut down on bodyfat though I only do HIIT once a week.
Back to this: "Make sure you have a good multivitamin to take with those amino acids.. because of the caffeine in them.. try GNC Megamen" - GNC store manager

Are you guys retarded? The things I've bolded are true, except for the bodybuilders are all mass, which is only often true, and most of the time they aren't proportionally strong.
Cutting down on carbs is obviously going to make you lose weight because you're cutting down on calories. Carbs are used up as a fuel source instead of fat reserves, so it'll contribute to keeping weight...
If you are an ectomorph, you do have a high metabolism...
I don't know if I should get into the carbs and fats thing..obviously they DO make you fat, but I assume you're talking about people saying they're the only macronutrient that does. And if you eat an excess of only one, yes, it will make you fat.

Bro science!!!!!
You must eat 2 grams of protien per pound of bodyweight a day to build muscle
Eating to much protien can lead to kidney problems
Make sure you start with heavy bench press on chest day
If you want lower abs do lots of knee raises
eating 7 meals a day every 2-3 hours speeds up metabolism and is a great dieting method to use when trying to pack on muscle mass
If you want to loose fat, cut out the late night carbs, do lots of cardio, and make sure you stick to a high rep low weight training routine
Ladies should only do cardio and abs so they dont end up all bulky and muscular

lol, repped.
So much of the stuff in this thread are the things I follow, wether they work or not, who knows but I have been a lot bigger than most people in this thread.
Imo bb forums for whatever reason want to make people think if all they do is lift a couple times a week and eat **** and hit their macros they will have as good results as someone who dedicates every minute to building their body and their diet. BB forums also try to discredit "broscience" by pulling up studies saying its false, the problem is that you can find studies proving most things if thats what you are searching for, confirmation bias at its best.✄✄ MFC Arts and Crafts Director ✄✄
