Hello i am planning on holding a football camp at a public park owned by the city. In order to do this officially parks and recreation wanted $50 an hour (2 hour minimum) along with $15 dollars an hour for lights to be on during the time. I was going to hold camp from 6:30-8:00pm 3 days a week but with finding this information out id be at a financial loss. It would cost close to $1,000 a month i only expect to be making that much from this camp. Does anyone know of a way around this, I am planing on continuing with the camp for now without doing it properly, the only downside to this is that the lighting out there is not the best. City also wants a $500 deposit, business permit and insurance, which all seems fine, but come on $1,000 a month for 5 hours a week of 10-20 kids running on a field.
Any ideals?
