IMHO if you like Cutler you're not a true Bears fan
I want some honest here from you Cutler supporters:
If you've lost faith in Cutler since his arrival, how much?
Do you like Cutler, or possibly the idea of having a "franchise QB", more than the actual team?
At what point do you say it's Cutler and not other people?
Can you admit that these less than desirable results have followed him his whole career?
Do you see any corelations or do you write it all off as pure coincidence?

yeah here i am again arguing with you once again.
i have been a bears fan since the early 80's, and remember watching the super bowl win with my parents back in 86, and playing/memorizing the super bowl shuffle off vinyl.
he is the best qb we have had in our lives, or possibly ever. thats all there is to it. Dont say mcmahon or kramer because that will make you ignorant. i dont care about his past. One thing I do know, is that although he isnt up there with brady brees and manning, he has done the most with the least of any qb in the league
yes his attitude sucks at times, yes he is diabetic, yes he has a two cent brain and million dollar arm, but give him solid support around him, and he will be an adequate qb for a team looking to make a statement in the league along with a solid D
thats all there is to it

That's setting the bar pretty low though.
I'm not willing to settle for mediocrity just cause it's the best mediocrity we've ever had.

IDK man it's stupid.
I heard a guy on sunday bashing the defense.
Seriously man the ****ing defense?
The same defense that literally carried us the first half of the season?

Have you ever considered being a Packers fan, Spidey? I'm only saying this because you're hands down the greatest Bears fan of all time, and I'd love to have you part of the Packer family.

us older fans remember the ditka approach, (light a fire up under the players asses)
but on the other hand, the players respect Lovie, and in my opinion, give him their best because of that respect.
I dont think it's lovies fault that this team has been set back time and time again by incompetence in drafting, and ridiculous goals. Theres no such thing as Bear weather, and there's no such thing as solely defense winning a superbowl anymore. Even bringing back the 85-86 defense will not win the big game these days without offense.
And spider, Cutler has been a disappointment as a whole, but in reality, who does he have confidence in besides Brandon Marshall? Earl Bennett isnt the same since injury, who else is there? Fukking Hester is out there man... Thats just a big LOL the guy is borderline retarded as a receiver. That may be something I blame Lovie for. Hester cried for his shot at WR, Lovie caved in, and it simply isnt working. But Lovie isn't doing **** about it except keep putting him out there to embarrass himself. If the Oline comes around and plays halfway decent, and somebody besides Marshall steps up, then Cutler has NO more excuses

but how much input does/did lovie have as far as FA/drafting? "get me these players/this scheme" ?

I think Lovie was going along with the Angelo show. Defense, turnovers, special teams will carry his team to the super bowl. I really dont know how much impact he had, but imo he seemed to be living in the past when the Bear defense won them the big game. Then after all the time wasted realizing these days a team needs more than that, he thought he would have the 'greatest show on turf' along with the D and special teams by bringing in mike martz.
It's all laughable if you ask me but fuk it

Doesnt Cutler throw a pick almost every other week because of miscommunication/bad route-running by Hester?
Havent watched many Bears games but that seems to be the public opinion.

miscommunication at times but jay does throw some boneheaded f'n throws as well. That will obviously never change. That has been what's been disappointing, thinking he would change his mindset after all the scrutiny when it comes to just throwing the ball away and not forcing ****

Ive always perceived him as an above quarterback.
Kinda like an Alex Smith type QB, except he has a bit more potential to win the game, but can just as easily make his team lose.
In other words, hes really not like Alex Smith, sorta the opposite l0l

OP, if you're a true bears fan, you never place too much confidence in the qb let alone the offence anyway.
Weve managed to make it to the super bowl (with no Tom Brady skill qb) before and we sure as hell can do it again.
Cutler is a decent qb, not the best, but certainly better than others that have crossed paths

Cutler will never win a Superbowl.
me and my cousin say it must suck having cutler because hes too good not to bench but bad enough to throw almost every other game away.
jay cutler is like josh freeman buy worse. both are bad qbs but just good enough to keep their jobs lol must suck for bears fans

You're not a true football fan if you don't recognize that no QB will succeed behind those 5 guys they call an offensive line.

We just need a game manager, cutler cant even do that.
Should've stuck with Orton.
Defense does the rest.

you wont find a qb that can lead a Bears attack into a super bowl. If Tom Brady got traded suddenly to Chicago his career would crumble in 1 game. If Rodgers got drafted by Chicago he would of already been retired and an after thought like Cade Mcnown,......My point is that if Cutler would of been traded to lets say San Fran instead of Chicago from Denver then he might of already won a super bowl. Cutler is being swallowed up by the Chicago media and so would 99% of nfl qbs.....

Wrong.
I've grown to like Cutler in the face of all the hate he gets from people who don't watch Bears games. He's not an elite QB, but not every team can have Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. As a true fan I can see the flaws in the team, and when he's dealing with yet AGAIN one of the worst o-lines in the league and horrible play calling its unfair to heap the criticism on him that people do. The fact is he does have the abilitiy to put the team on his back for stretches and he is the winningest QB the Bears have had in a long time. Its the same thing I've always said about Cutler.
I think I've made this same post about a hundred times.
