Israel is not a democracy. It's actions, it's leaders' rhetoric, its goals and ambitions resemble nothing that a democracy should stand for. Why bomb women and children? Why continue illegal settlements as stated by international law? Why actively stop and hamper a peace process whilst claiming existential threats are upon you? All exaggerated lies to further its own agenda.

I thought that elections are a sign of democracy. As for "failed", did you check out Israel's GDP? Quality of life? Considering that they accomplished all of this while being bombed all of the time, I think that they have succeeded, not failed.

When you get billions every year (for decades) to sustain your campaign of bombing civilians and turning your surrounding areas into desolate concentration camps, you will succeed in developing your own state further than them.

You can't be serious. In almost every Israeli election since it's founding, parties rise and parties fall, and new governments are constantly formed. People in Israel are not in power for a long time.

Well actually, the very people that have always been in power, continue to have power over the so called "parties" that "rise and fall". You think this charade of democracy and elections can mask the fact that politicians are puppets for the elite whom fund and control them? Just like in the USA, the politicians are corrupt and bought and paid for.

No wonder the US/Israel buttphuckery continues. The politicians are corrupt as hell and the people of their country don't mean sh!t to them. As long as they are having their strings pulled, the farce that is democracy in Israel (and also the US) will be just that, a farce.

I think that what's most newsworthy here is that Israel didn't simply bulldoze the homes of all Palestinians following the Yom Kippur war and relocate them all to the Sinai before donating that territory to the Egyptians in 82. The reality is that, as demonstrated by the Arab powers repeatedly, might makes right, and the Isreaelis are simply using the territory they conquered.
