The wife bought me a new ipod for Christmas, and I'm trying to load it up with some good music for the gym. Any genre's are welcome. Just good stuff to get the adrenaline going.

Bands like Metallica and Pantera seem to be popular choices. Some other bands that come to mind...
Corrosion of Conformity - For their 90s/00s material, think of Black Sabbath crossed with southern rock
Megadeth - For their 80s/early 90s material, think of a more disjointed but also more technically interesting thrash metal
Carach Angren - Great symphonic black metal band
Mastodon - Ranging from straight-forward sludge metal to slightly more progressive sludge
Opeth - Um... listen to an album like Deliverance and decide for yourself
Scorpions - Pop metal done well. Lovedrive and Blackout are my favorites, fwiw"Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome." - Booker T. Washington

I tried listening to music a few weeks ago whilst training but found it just doesn't work for me. I can happily have a radio on in a room, but earphones become a real annoyance - like they're interefering with my concentration. And if I have music playing during a set, I don't hear it at all. It's like all sound is blocked out.
If you want something to pump a bit of adrenalin before a set, I've always thought 'Pendulum - Watercolour' is a good one as it launches into the bass.

Depending on what I'm doing the music might change. Barbell lifting will inevitably be Dethklok, Fear Factory, the Misfits, Sepultura, or Static X.
Kettlebell lifting will usually be whatever, any kind of power metal, classical, death metal, industrial...unless I'm doing high-volume swings. Gordon Lightfoot's music is perfect to get a really good rhythm going for lots and lots of swings."Blessed be the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle." - Psalm 144:1
Also, taxation is theft.

something related to music and training, I have some music thats tough to listen to, I also train in fashion that can be mentally challenging, high rep squats, high rep stiff legs standing on a 5"block.
combine them together and things work out.
you are what you is
lumpy gravy
cruisen with ruben and the jets
yo mama
man from utopia
after training to these, I love to listen it now.
