Question Back problems! Exercise every day or every other day?

Due to back problems, I am unable to do exercises lying down or standing up. I can only do exercises while sitting down in a chair or on a bed.

This means exercises such as pullups, pushups, squats, bench press, etc. are out of the question for the time being.

At my disposal, I have dumbbells: 10 pound, 15 pound, 25 pound, and 40 pound. I have 2 dumbbells of each weight.

I would like to figure out a routine that, while suboptimal for typical circumstances, is best for my situation.
So far, I have figured out I can do basic exercises such as bicep curls and seated shoulder press.
For the bicep curls, I usually do 25 pounds in each hand. This is fairly challenging, and I can do about 6-8 on each arm before failure or my form becomes bad. The 15 pounds is easier but still somewhat difficult to do more than about 15-20 repetitions, so I figure this is still a good exercise.

For the seated shoulder press, I am also using 25 pounds in each arm. I can do about 10-15 repetitions. I have tried using the 40 pounds, and it is very tough. I think I can manage a few but my form is questionable and this seems to be a little bit out of my weight range for now.

I also do some random movements like holding a 10 pound dumbbell in each hand and slowly bringing my arms to my side.

My main question is, because I have such limited options, do you think it would be best to do very high volume every other day? Or even every day? I know people usually say not to do the same weightlifting exercise without at least 1 or 2 days rest in between, but I figure these exercises are more like pushups or situps, something that I hear you can do every day, because I am not using much weight or doing anything too intense.

So what do you suggest? I was thinking of continuing to do these exercises and also just kind of swinging around the 10 pound dumbbells for awhile (in a very controlled manner, mind you). I figured this might sort of simulate the type of labor that people who move heavy objects around all day experience, albeit on a smaller scale. Do you think this is a good idea? And should I do it every day or every other day?

Basically, my overall question is: Is it a good idea to do the same exercises every day (no rest days) as long as you don't feel soreness? Keep in mind these are high volume, low weight exercises.

that light weights could be excersised everyday. It's really very restricted condition thought. I think you should get another opionion from your doctor.
