Ya I know, all future pics will be taken with them though so it should be a good comparison from now on. Still have about 40-50 to lose but I'm going to be taking a break for a few months to concentrate on rehabbing my metabolism and building some muscle. I've been cutting for a really long time.

Guys, I need some music for running. Everything I have seems to have lost that awesome effect that helps you push more. I'm going to try a 5k on the treadmill on friday, and I'd like to do it as fast as I can maintain, aiming for under 35mins to allow a little walking warm up. I'm open to anything, faster may be better.
81lbs down, 36 to go.

So yesterday afternoon the wife and I decided to go out and do a little shopping. Sure i've lost some weight, but I was still hesitant to walk into a store and look for clothes. We ended up going to a Marshall's and see if they had anything. To my astonishment they did indeed have some shirts and pants close to the size I'm wearing now. I got a outfit and headed to the dressing room to try it on and make sure it fits. This is where the horror story begins.. the lady working in the fitting room looked me up and down and then greeted me with, and I quote, "Dang, aren't you one heck of a big guy." I've never felt so disrespected in my life. Needless to say I didn't buy anything and then left the store. I mean sure I'm still a obese person, but who the heck was she to point it out like that? That was one fo the worst experiences I've ever had to deal with, just goes to show that even after working hard for 3 months and dropping big time weight, some people insist on being rude and look at the negative in everything.

Did read.
That was quite rude of her. No excuse for what she said. However, I will say that you can develop a thicker skin on these issues. Eff her. She's an idiot. You can't let little passing comments like that get to you. I know your self-esteem has been crapped on for years. Probably for as long as you can remember. Your body is changing, which is great, but you and I both know the real change happens in your mind. If you don't stay mentally tough, all of the work you did will be for naught and you'll go back to how you were.
You've got a ways to go, but you need to keep pushing and not let things like this de-rail you (100% srs)*LF Chat Crew

F*ck them.
I'd use that as motivation to push even harder. People in this world suck and there always has been, presently is, and will be in the future people just like her.
Not only is it a physical disrespect but an emotional one as well, which is probably even more damaging to ones self esteem. Just goes to show she has lower self esteem than you. Don't let idiots deter you from living life to its fullest.www.grazethesky.com

Wow Sidewayz, that was entirely inconsiderate on her part, and very ignorant...but don't let her comments knock you down! Especially one from someone so undeserving of being paid attention to. Rudeness is an extremely ugly trait that is much more difficult for someone to get rid of than fat...feel sorry for her dumb a$$ and keep it moving. I used to worry so much about what other people think and it definitely held me back in so many ways.There is nothing as liberating as not giving a damn what people think anymore and being proud of you for proving to yourself that you're capable of achieving your goals...which you've shown to us too. You are rocking this comp.
The opinion that is the most influential over your life and happiness is yours. If you are satisfied with what you are doing and where you are going, fuk whoever says otherwise.

Tournament Announcement
Hello all!
I am proud of you all. We have had the best retention rate in over a year since this competition has been running. We only had 5 dropouts this week (see list at bottom) but I doubt they will actually drop. Most likely haven't had the chance to submit yet. But right now we have 47 people from the initial 171 entrants (27% survived) that actually made it this far. Only two weeks left!
I would like to thank you all for being part of this competition and I hope that you continue on in the next one. I will be starting the thread pretty soon to give more people a chance to get in. If anyone has any suggestions/comments/would like to offer ways of improving the way this is run, please don't hesitate to shoot me a PM. I will surely give credit where credit is due. After all, it is all of you who make this happen.
I'd say give it your best for the next two weeks. It's only fourteen days! Finish out strong! I just started cutting myself, so I'll be joining along with you guys in the next competition, so watch out!
Have a great week all.

what time do you normally stop eating by the end of the day?Life is pain, you just get used to it.

What do you mean stop eating?? We're supposed to stop? lol
I do intermittent fasting so I don't usually eat until around 3-5pm (drinking tea and water in the mean time) and then I'll enjoy meals all the way up until I go to sleep (around 12am-2am).
Welcome back Sian, and how has your diet been now that you're getting settled back into normal life?

I tried to send you a PM yesterday, maybe something went wrong, or I used the wrong format. Either way I'll PM you again right now if you could add me back please You'll never see me drop out!
EDIT: Resent. I think I was in a hurry yesterday and forgot to put something in the actual text of the PM so it came back with an error and I didn't notice. Either way, hopefully you can add me back to the list. My apologies- Dave

Hey Sidewayz,
I just wanted to give you a little math.. I know fat loss isn't linear..however, when you have a substantial amount of fat to be lost, it usually is. So, dig this;
By the time this comp is over, you will have managed to have lost 45 pounds in 3 months. If you are consistent with this deficit, your results will be as follows:
Your current weight by April first will probably be around 350.
Assuming you lose 45 pounds in each competition, you will look around roughly the following:
April 1 to July 1 -> 305
July 1 to October 1 -> 260
October to January 1-> 215
So theoretically by the end of this year you could looking at being extremely close to 200lbs.
Just something to think about in the short term/long term.www.grazethesky.com

Now that I have to buy new clothes, and that they are small enough I can actually buy some "cool" shirts I got these 2 today. Love The Big Bang Theory, so the green one is a shirt that Sheldon actually wore on the show, and the white one is Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock, for those of you who watch the show?

Man, this is just getting tougher. Have to really focus to shift my mind away from "I'm losing weight to get back to 'where I started'" and towards... well, something else. I've taken to writing down anything I think of that seems to motivate me, because it's getting harder and harder to find things. Right now I'm dreaming of being able to finally look good in skinny suits. Sigh...
Tried spending a week avoiding the contest thread, avoiding daily tracking, and avoiding over-thinking this. Honestly, didn't help much at all! Obsession FTW.
